The Year of Endings

For me, 2016 was the year of endings. Happy or sad, they came in many different forms. It wasn't until this week, when I was looking back at all the good things that had happened, that I realised just quite how many there were.

Breakfast with Puma & JD Women

Last week I was very excited to be invited along to a little breakfast celebrating the launch of JD Sports & Puma's brand new collection in collaboration with Lucy Watson (of Made in Chelsea fame).  It was a bright and early start in London as I headed over to Somerset House and a restaurant I had never visited before called Spring.

Once Upon A Christmas

'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the city,

The people were stirring, the weather quite nippy.

But in between shopping and dancing and glee,

Was one little princess, a market and me.

The Nutribuddy Challenge

Not going to lie, I've never exactly been the most health-conscious person in the world. My diet mainly consists of any chocolate I can get a hold of and then various breakfast cereals. So, when Nutribuddy got in contact and asked if I'd like to take their weight loss kit for a spin, I decided I would give it my best shot and see if it made a difference. I've never used any kind of weight loss supplements or powders before, so I was interested to see what it had in store for me!

Queen of the Castle

On our second day in Copenhagen, we awoke drearily and headed out for a new adventure (and to set down the deposit on my brand new house ^_^, I wish!).

If you haven't read part one of our journey to Copenhagen, I definitely suggest you do so!

Similarly to France, you kind of assume that when you visit Denmark there will be Danish pastries on every corner, however we found ourselves wandering the streets at 9am, struggling to find anywhere that was even open. I think we could learn a lot from the Danes and their lie ins.

Wonderful Copenhagen

A couple weeks back, my bestie Olivia and I took a little flight over to Denmark to the gorgeous city of Copenhagen. It's been somewhere that I've always wanted to visit, especially since watching Richard Ayoade and Noel Fielding parade about on Travel Man (aka the best show on TV). So, we adopted the roles of Richard and Noel (I was Noel because of my outrageous choice of coat and Olivia was Richard because of her vintage suitcase) and explored the city.

7 Thoughts I Had While Watching Fantastic Beasts

I've never written movie reviews on here before, even though films are one of my all time favourite passions and to be honest, I could probably be a critic from the amount I've seen. BUT, the other day I finally got to see Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and HOLY MOLY I LOVED IT.

The Girly Christmas Gift Guide - Main Gifts

When it comes to main gifts, I'm pretty stereotypical not going to lie! I LOVE everything cute, cosy and adorable so I think this may be reflected in this second part of the guide. But to be honest, you can't go wrong with a cute candle and a pair of fuzzy slippers in my opinion!

The Girly Christmas Gift Guide - Stocking Fillers

It's that time of year again where the wallets are out and the mission to buy everyone's perfect Christmas presents is afoot. But NEVER FEAR! Hello Miss Jordan is here! (Let's pretend I didn't say that). I'm here with a three part gift guide featuring the ultimate presents for the girly girl in your life who you may be a bit stuck about what to buy for her.

First up we have Stocking Fillers! Those little presents that may be just add ons to the big ones, or little gifts for a secret santa. Whatever you do with them is up to you!

My new favourite thing has to be enamel pin badges. Everything about them is adorable and they make the perfect stocking filler, especially if you know what your pal is into! Stranger Things, anyone?

And of course you can never go wrong with some beauty bits! These W7 Crackers are perfect for a girly Christmas get together, with each one containing a different product. They're also great for hiding around the house on Christmas day, or popping inside other presents as an added surprise. Lush have knocked it out of the park this year with their Christmas range and the Sugar Plum Fairy Lip Scrub & Elf on the Shelf FUN are fantastic little additions that everyone will love.

I also love the idea of receiving a few home bits as part of my little presents, and mini Christmas-scented votives and adorable prints like this rose gold one are a little bit different and certainly adorable. They don't lie, life is definitely better in rose gold.

A Makeover

Something New

If you've followed me since the very beginning, you'll know that I've hardly changed my blog layout at all since I've started. The main things that have changed are the header and colour scheme, but that's pretty much as far as it normally goes!

But alas, here we are! A brand, spanking new design from the lovely Pipdig (aka the blogger's choice for amazing layouts) and I couldn't be more pleased with it! I knew that I wanted something to show off my Instagram feed and this gorgeous design does just that. It was also chosen with the help of my lovely friend April and it looks flipping wonderful.

It's funny how a new layout can make everything seem a little bit more exciting and clear and I'm so glad I'm able to show off my blog even more now. It all feels very professional, not going to lie!

So here's to a new chapter in the Hello Miss Jordan saga, and hopefully to lots more awesome content!

Share the Happiness

Cosy By The Fire

I think it's reached that point of the year now where we're saying a sorrowful goodbye to the golden Autumn and a hello to the chilly frost and Christmas decorations. BUT, not all is lost! This means time for cosy clothes, spending time with family and eating way too many mince pies.

It also means the Fat Face have released their brand new collection for Winter, and oh em gee it's absolutely gorgeous! Think hygge-esque knit wear, adorable bobble hats and all the cute pyjamas, they've absolutely got me sorted for the Christmas season.

So, I headed out for a fun day with the family to the local pub and for a frosty afternoon walk to explore the countryside and take my brand new threads for a spin.

Lush Christmas, 2016

I'm dreaming of a Lush Christmas...

Back around the end of October, I created a little post all about Lush's Halloween collection which you guys absolutely loved! So I thought I'd do the same with their absolutely gorgeous Christmas products and show you a couple of my faves.

As you may or may not know, I work at Lush, which means I very luckily get given a staff Christmas box containing a few of the team's favourite products to try out! Opening the box was literally like Christmas coming early, and I couldn't wait to give them all a sniff and a try and feel just very clean and awesome by the end of it!

So, here's a little run down for you lovely lot, just in case you either haven't tried Lush's Christmas range before (YOU MUST!) or you're a bit unsure of what to buy this season. There's so many gorgeous gift ideas, or just opportunities to treat yo' self.

Beautiful Words

Audrey

If there's one thing I love, it's something personalised. There's just something about owning something that has a special meaning to you and you alone. Even if someone chose the same thing, it would never compare to your original choice, as their reasoning will always be different.

For me, a personalised piece of jewellery is almost like a tattoo. It's something that can be worn all the time and eventually becomes a part of you and your daily routine. I also love explaining personalisations to people, and I love hearing people's stories behind their choices!

So when the lovely people at Under the Rose got in touch and offered to send me something from their website, I chose their stunning Silver Circle Quote Pendant which immediately caught my eye as soon as I saw it, mainly because you have the option of having quite a long quote on it.

9 Things for a Pinterest-Worthy Christmas

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like...

Some people might say that it's a bit too early to be getting into the festive spirit, but for me, a self-confessed Christmas ADDICT, it's never too early to start shopping for all of the festive homeware, candles and silly accessories.

The Tea Files - Grosvenor House

Tea & Cake

So, it wasn't until I looked back on my post history that I realised I haven't done a Tea Files post since MARCH! I can't believe where the time has gone! But, not to fear, I'm back with a brand new, delicious review for all your afternoon tea adoring eyes.

This time, we went to the Grosvenor House on Park Lane to dine at the beautiful Park Room and enjoy an afternoon tea that not only looked incredible, but had unlimited champagne. My mama was best pleased.

5 Ways I'm Combating SAD This Winter

Stay warm

Time to fess up; I have never liked Autumn or Winter. *gasps!*

I have always hated the leaves falling off the trees, the gradual decent into closing darkness and the need for countless layers that make me cold sweat like a melting ice cube has been shoved under my clothes. The worst part of it all is the SAD. Both my mum and I have suffered from it for as long as I can remember and have often found that escaping to warmer climates during December has been a great solution to the problem.

Pink Frills & Backpacks

Northcote Road

As I was writing the title of this blog post I started chanting, "I LOVE PINK FRILLS" in the style of Sia...and now I've probably got that song in everyone's head.

So I haven't owned a backpack since I was in year 7. Do you remember it? Hoards of year 7s with oversized (yet actually rather sensible) backpacks knocking their way through the corridors in a frantic struggle to get to lessons and find the right room. The very idea of it has been ingrained in me and for a long time I settled to be the "cool kid" and avoid backpacks at all costs.

But the cheeky little designers at Radley completely changed my mind when this little babe landed on my doorstep...

Rimmel Only 1 Matte Lipstick Collection

Lip Library

It's the time of year when matte lipsticks are pretty much a staple in every beauty lover's Muji drawers. I couldn't think of anything worse (beauty wise) than wearing a glossy lip in the Winter and having my hair blow all over the place and stick to it. So, Rimmel have answered our prayers and released a brand new collection called The Only 1 Matte*, featuring 9 gorgeous shades, including some perfect ones for Autumn and Winter.

Dominique Ansel, London

It's finally happened, people of Britain. Dominique Ansel has come to London.

If you're not familiar with the famous New York Bakery, then the word "Cronut" might ring more of a bell. That's right, the GENIUS who invented pretty much the most heavenly sugar overload has put up shop right by Victoria, and I just knew I had to visit.

Catwoman

Black Magic

If there's one thing I'm famous for, it's cop-out fancy dress costumes. After caring far too much during my first year at university about my first ever freshers costume, only to see that people had fashioned theirs out of moving boxes and bedsheets, I realised that I probably didn't need to go to so much effort. Since then, it's been all about using up those bits and pieces that I already had in the wardrobe. So, when New Look got in touch and challenged me to create a Halloween look using pieces that could be used again in the future, I jumped at the chance to utilise my skills and create this slinky little number.

Autumn/Winter Wishlist

Top Row

Polka Dot Skirt: I've been obsessed with this skirt ever since I first saw it in Coast, and it's just too beautiful. I love the fact that they also do a version with a slightly shorter length, which is perfect for a shorty like me! Everything about it is stunning, I mean, come on, it's polka dots!

Ombre Dress: This is pretty much the most beautiful goddess dress I've ever seen! Everything about it reminds me of a fairy or wood nymph and I can imagine it looking like such a show stopper at a Christmas party.

Fur Collar CardiganAnything with faux fur on it is right up my street and considering this cardigan has fur and a blush pink tone to it, it's like it was designed for me. It looks so cosy and still keeps with my love of pastels even in the Autumn/Winter.

Middle Row

Cat Bag: Who doesn't love a novelty bag?! This adorable little cat bag is absolutely perfect to go with any classic, simple outfit to add a touch of cuteness. I also love that it can be used as a clutch or a shoulder bag.

Bow Jumper: As soon as I saw this jumper I knew I had to have it. Maybe it's a bit over the top, but I don't care. Anything with a giant bow on it is pretty much an essential for my wardrobe and it would go with so many things!

Black Bow Top: I feel like I accidentally went with a bit of a bow theme in this wishlist! I've been after this top for ages now because, as I said above, anything that's a giant bow is required in my life. I love that this top would go with so many things, especially my tulle skirts.

Bottom Row

Mermaid Blanket: You've probably seen this blanket floating around the internet already, but come on! It's INCREDIBLE. Of course I went with the pink one, but they actually do it in different colours which is fab. I 100% need this blanket to make me feel at least a tad more glamorous when I'm chilling on the sofa in my onesie eating chips.

Heels: I love that these heels have a bit of a Halloween-come-ballet dancer look about them and would look fantastic with any Winter outfit. A pair of black heels always come in handy after all!

Roll Neck Jumper: Lazy Oaf always nail it when it comes to adorable and different fashion, and this cute red heart jumper reminds me of a dress I used to have in school with this same print. It's so adorable and looks cosy as well. The perfect combo!

This post was written in collaboration with Coast, but all opinions and style loves are my own.

Scooby Snacks

G-g-g-g-g-ghost!

If there's one thing I'm obsessed with, it's food that is both delicious and looks incredible! Biscuiteers pretty much nail this criteria every single time and, jinkies! It's no different with their brand new Halloween collections that they've recently brought out!

The Little Book of Hygge

If you're affiliated with the blogosphere in any way, shape or form, then you have probably had the word 'hygge' thrown in your face at some point over the last couple of months. The first time I found out about this magical word, I threw my hands in the air and screamed, "YES! THIS IS AMAZING!" even though I'm sure most Danish people think that may be a bit of an overreaction.

Pink Perfection

To be honest, I'm not sure what I love more about this little set from Estee Lauder; the fact that it's ALL PINK or the fact that 20% of it's retail price goes to Breast Cancer Research. Hmm...

Of course it's the charity part that makes this product so wonderfully incredible, and I am so excited to share this gorgeous little set with you. The Pink Perfection Colour Collection* is part of Estee Lauder's #BCAStrength campaign, where they've partnered with Breast Cancer Research Foundation to create some gorgeous products that not only make you feel beautiful on the outside, but beautiful on the inside too!

Mermaid, 1961

Photography by Martin Brown

As much as I love street style, there's always something a bit special about having a studio photoshoot done. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to have a bit of a confidence boost as it's honestly so much fun! The first studio shoot I did was when I was 18, and my mum bought me one of those photoshoot experience days. Since then, I've loved having them done! Call me vain, but I think there's nothing nicer than having a set of photos of yourself that you love and you'll be able to look back on in years to come.

A Very Lush Halloween

Rather recently I had a very exciting job change...which I bet you've already guessed considering the title of this blog post! Yep, you're right! I've just started working at Lush! It's basically ultimate blogger dream goals for a part time job, partly because it's just such a great environment to work in and mostly because of all the gorgeous products.

So, I thought I'd give you a little product tour of some of Lush's brand new Halloween collection, because it's pretty darn cute and smells freaking incredible. Also, I'm definitely trying to force some of my newly learnt product knowledge on you (sorry not sorry).

New In: 4U2 Cosmetics

As you know I'm pretty much the biggest lipstick obsessive going. If there's one thing I change daily in my makeup routine it's always the shade of lippie that I'm rocking. So you can imagine my utter delight when the lovely people at 4U2 Cosmetics sent through their entire new Lipaholic collection* (named after me, I'm pretty sure!).

4U2 is currently in the process of launching in Europe and I am so excited for when these bad boys hit drugstores. There are 14 shades to choose from, from baby pinks to ferocious reds to deep corals, there really is a shade for everyone!

9 Payday Must Haves - September

Top Row

Cat Beret: How cute is this adorable cat beret? I know it's only meant for Halloween but part of me wants to wear it all throughout winter. It also looks seriously soft.

Dress: This dress is super adorable for the Summer to Autumn transition and is the most gorgeous coral shade. You can never have too many body con dresses in my opinion!

Crossbody Bag: Kate Spade never fail to amaze me with their collection of novelty bags, and their perfume inspired ones are some of my favourites ever! This one is particularly gorgeous and I can imagine leaving it on display constantly because it's just so darn pretty!

Middle Row

Gift Set: Zoella is absolutely nailing it with her new releases recently and her new, gingerbread-inspired beauty products have just hit stores. I am seriously in need of the body mist so I can smell like a Christmassy ball of happiness all season.

Boots: You've probably seen these boots all over every bloggers social media but I am obsessed! They're just so darn beautiful and despite their statement appearance they will go with pretty much anything.

Glasses: Although I don't need glasses, I absolutely love the look of them and have been after a pair for a while. I absolutely love the shape and style of these ones and think they'll make a great addition to my Autumn wardrobe.

Bottom Row

Leather Jacket: I recently sorted out all my old clothes which meant selling my old leather jacket that was far too big for me. I love the detachable fur collar on this one as it adds something a little bit different! Plus it makes it nice and cosy.

Roll Neck: I've been after a camel coloured roll neck for a while now so I can complete my Autumn capsule wardrobe and this one is just too pretty. It's a beautiful shade of camel as well that's just subtle enough.

Boots: Another set of boots (what am I like?!) but these ones are a beautiful shade of plum that would look incredible this season. That bow, though!

This post was sponsored by House of Fraser but all opinions are my own.

A Day in Paris with Farfetch

I have to say, when I saw the email about a day trip to Paris with Farfetch, I did a double take, then a scream, and then panicked for a second that they had got the wrong person. I actually couldn't believe it! But, what do you know, within the month I was packed and off to the beautiful city for the second time this year with a bunch of beautiful bloggers.

Why I've Never Been to London Fashion Week

We're currently in the middle of the biggest fashion event of the year (or twice a year). If you're a blogger, or even just anyone who uses social media, you've probably seen something about London Fashion Week on your timeline. It's everywhere. Anyone who's anyone in the fashion industry is there. It's a hive for fashion bloggers from all across the country.

So, as I sit at home in my pyjamas, watching snippets of shows on Snapchats or the ongoing contest for the best street style snaps, I think to myself...what haven't I gone to London Fashion Week before?

Sugar & Spice

& everything nice

I know we're still reaching heights of 30 here in the UK, but come on, there's no denying everyone can't wait to get into the swing of Autumn now. I've become slightly obsessed with Autumnal clothing recently after I made a promise to myself to embrace the colder months.

Of course, you all know that I'm a huge fan of Fat Face and everything they put out, so I was so excited when I found out about their 'Sugar and Spice' Autumn range of clothing. I also knew that I wanted the cosiest, most Autumnal photos ever for this post and I have to say I'm pretty pleased with them. *insert all the Autumn leaf emojis here*

Sugar Junction, Manchester

On our second day in Manchester we woke up bright and early and headed out to the Northern Quarter in search of the best breakfast in town. Luckily, I had been given a few recommendations and after some deliberation we decided on visiting Sugar Junction, which not only has the most adorable name ever, but sits right in the heart of the urban Northern Quarter, in the cutest tea room you've ever seen!

5 Ways I'm Starting Anew After A Big Change

Last week I had a big change. It's one that I was expecting for a while, but even when it hit me it was still kind of hard to process. There's an emptiness that goes alongside change, a sort of realisation that everything you had is now gone and you have to somehow deal with it.

The Pastel Parisian

Our second day in beautiful Paris began almost dreamily, waking up early to find the city shrouded in fog and grey light. We headed straight for the Eiffel Tower, hoping that if we got there early enough we would be able to to snag a couple of snaps without hoards of tourists in the background.

I must have first heard about the famous Angelina through a blog, or maybe several blogs back when I first started this little corner of the internet. A Day at the Races

Last week I finally got to experience a day I've wanted to attend for so long...Ladies' Day at a racecourse! As somebody who's seen photos from numerous raceday events of women in huge hats eating amazing food and drinking champagne, I've always wanted to see what the day is really like for myself.

So when Newbury Racecourse got in touch and asked if I would like to attend Betfred Ladies' Day, I jumped at the chance to dress up, get my heels on and strut down to the racetrack for a fantastic day out.

For me, Soho has always been the hotspot in London for amazing lunch spots. I've tried quite a few now, but I'm always on the lookout for new ones, so I did a little shoutout on Twitter for recommendations and quite a few people threw back Whyte and Brown. I had never heard of it before, but after a quick google map search I found myself there.

The Cursed Child

For the record, my love of Disney is only rivalled by my love of Harry Potter. Since I was a child I have been obsessed with the magical world created by Queen J.K. Rowling, so when I found out that a new play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was coming to London, I queued online (for a solid 10 minutes because I was luckily placed right at the front of the queue) to nab tickets in its first release. And boy, am I glad I did!

6 Ways to Wind Down in London

There's no doubt that London is one of the fastest moving cities on the planet, so sometimes it can seem a little surreal to imagine it being a place for any kind of relaxation. I spend most of my time in the city rushing to events or lunches and sometimes the only time I have to catch my breath is when I sit down on the train home!

But believe it or not there are some little secret gems that I adore that calm me down in seconds, especially when I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with the place.

Raceday Fashion Inspiration + GIVEAWAY!

Whenever I think of the Races my mind immediately flicks to the incredible scene in My Fair Lady, when Eliza Doolittle makes her incredible entrance in that giant hat and bow adorned dress. I've definitely imagined turning up in something similar, but I think I would definitely get a few stares nowadays!

However, next week I'll be heading off to Betfred Ladies' Day at Newbury Racecourse, so outfit inspiration is definitely something that I am on the hunt for. So I've created a little mood board/wishlist thing to give you a bit of raceday inspo, whether you're headed to the races this Summer, or just need a fabulous outfit for a special occasion.

BUT, if you do have a similar Eliza-esque dream to me, you too could be coming along to Ladies' Day with me! Newbury Racecourse have kindly offered one lucky reader a pair of tickets to the event on Saturday 13th August to dress up in some gorgeous clothes and watch Will Young perform live! The prize also includes a £30 John Lewis voucher to help you get that dream dress for the day. Just enter the rafflecopter giveaway below! It's open to UK RESIDENTS ONLY who are 18+ and it closes at midnight on 8/8/16. Good luck!

P.S. I've been kindly given a discount code to get £5 off each ticket purchased for the Ladies Day HERE! Just use the code "FUN16"!

The Beauty Expert

A fun fact about me is that my all time favourite flower (other than peonies) is the rose. Probably the Beauty and the Beast in me coming out, but I mean, come on! They're beautiful, smell amazing and are the most romantic flower in the world. What's not to love!

So when the lovely people at The Hut Group invited me along to the launch of a brand new beauty bag from The Beauty Expert that was entirely centred around roses, I was so excited. A whole bag of rose themed products? Um, yes please!
