The Rapunzel Ring

I've always been a magpie when it comes to beautiful bits of jewellery. There's something so wonderful about having a bit of extra sparkle on your outfit (I definitely think it's the Disney princess in me!). So when the lovely people at Rocks and Co. got in touch to see if I'd like to take one of their pieces out for a test run, I was intrigued. I hadn't heard of the brand previously apart from the occasional scroll past the teleshopping channel, but when I had a browse of their website there were so many beautiful things!

Washed in Happiness

It's never been a secret on Hello Miss Jordan that I absolutely adore Fat Face. They were one of the first brands I worked with as a blogger and ever since have been producing fantastic, unique designs that never fail to impress me. So, when they asked me if I'd like to have a look at their new summer collection I jumped at the chance!

Fat Face kindly sent over the most beautiful hamper filled with goodies in order to make me feel 'washed in happiness' for the day. This included a family day pass to a National Trust park, so on a lovely sunny day I hopped into my car and headed over to Ightham Mote which isn't too far from where I live. We also brought along a special little guest star...see if you can spot him!

The Dream Bedroom - A Tour

Despite missing Brighton, one of the best things about moving house has to be the fact that I have an entire place to redecorate. Having previously been living in rented accommodation, it meant that I really wasn't able to decorate exactly how I wanted it. But now I have very much been able to create the house of my dreams!

So I thought I'd give you a little tour of my bedroom to start! Hopefully I'll be able to work my way around the entire house so you get a little glimpse of every room and the details I've added.

Fields of Gold

Sunshine, daisy, butter, mellow...

Moving to the countryside definitely has it's perks! One being the gloriously lush fields lurking just walking distance from my house, especially when they're in full, luminous bloom.

The Summer Explorer's Wishlist

Sunglasses | Hat | Phone Case | Camera | Lip Balm | Bag | Sunscreen | Shoes

It's no secret that summer is my favourite season of them all! Being able to head outside more often (although not as often as I'd like due to the British weather) just fills me with joy, and being able to go on more little adventures is something I love to do once the warmer weather rolls around. So I've comprised a little wishlist for the summer explorer in all of us, which has turned out to be surprisingly pink! I clearly can't help my love of all things blush!

Obviously, as a blogger I lean more towards techy things on my wishlists, simply so I can get the best snaps possible! I've been lusting after a Fuji Instax Mini 8 for so long now and the pink one is totally my favourite. I just love polaroids, not only because you get a photo immediately, but also because of that strange hazy effect they have when they print. It's something you'd never get with your normal DSLR! I've also wanted a special phone case for my adventures for ages, and this one locks your phone into an airtight case so it's even waterproof for up to 3m! So if you're going anywhere ocean related, this is perfect!

On the beauty side of things, it's all about that protection! Sunscreen is a must if it's hot out, even if it doesn't look like its sunny! The Hawaiian Tropic lotion is one of my favourites because it not only works wonders but smells amazing. In the same realm, the L'Occitane lip balms are fantastic. The 'Rose Plum' shade is my favourite as it's so pigmented you'd never doubt it for an ordinary lipstick, while still providing the same SPF protection & moisturising properties of a lip balm.

Of course, you can't go on adventure without the right gear! A good pair of sunnies and a fedora for keeping that sun off your sensitive spots, as well as a good old fashioned pair of Timberlands for walking (also pink, this is optional). Plus, a great satchel for carrying all your bits and bobs is essential. Who says you can't look fashionable on an adventure?

Let me know in the comments if you're as big a fan of summer as I am, and if you have any essentials that you carry with you on your everyday adventures.

This post is kindly sponsored by Tech21 but all opinions and love of adventures are my own.

A Goodbye to Brighton

Once upon a time, I moved to a town called Brighton; a town inhabited by the most wonderful and strange people on Earth, who breathed in the salt filled air and found themselves lost in the paradise of its separation. There really was no place in the world quite like it.

Where Have I Been?

So you're probably wondering why I've been a bit absent over on the blog front lately. I've mentioned it a couple of times on here but I thought it would be a good moment to let you know in its own post.

As of tomorrow I will be in my final week of university. I have not one, but two dissertations due in on Thursday. As you can imagine, I'm pretty stressed.

I started my blog in my first year and university and it has honestly been the best decision I've ever made. Blogging truly is my passion and although it may not be at the stage I would like it yet, my dream is to go full-time and do what I love as my job.

For me, I didn't go to university hoping to get any kind of particular job out of it, rather I was one of those people who thought it would be better to get a degree under my belt than nothing at all. I don't going to university at all. I'm so glad that I had the experience, even though it is slowly killing me, but I cannot wait for it to be over as well.

For the past three years I have been juggling university work, blogging at a full time standard, a part-time job, a relationship and more recently the introduction of my dog into my life. As you can imagine, I have a lot of stuff going on, probably more than a lot of uni students. It's been hard but I've always been determined to create regular, high-quality content for my blog and social media channels and recently it's just been so hard. I hope you understand why I haven't been able to post here. I've been trying to make up for it by posting regularly on my Instagram but even on there I'm finding it tough to create beautiful content that people actually want to see, rather than my bare face in the library in my ugly sweaters.

But, the silver lining is that after Thursday I will be able to focus on my blog and social media content so much more than I've been able to since I began. I have another part time job that I will be starting as I'm not quite at full-time standard yet, but it's going to mean I'll still be able to focus a large part of my efforts on working towards my dream.

And, if you're still here, thank you! Your support really means the world to me. It is because of you lovely readers that I am able to even think about working towards going full-time, rather than brushing it aside as some fantasy. You are all wonderful! <3
