The Fancy Goat

Before heading off on the train to London, we decided to get a spot of breakfast in West Malling, a little town in Kent which I believe I've spoken about before

Just before I started blogging (over a year ago, can you believe?!), I spent my 20th birthday in The Fancy Goat, a new restaurant in the area which had recently opened. The food was lovely but we hadn't returned since that day. Luckily, on this particular morning we eyed up the breakfast menu and saw that the prices were really reasonable, so popped inside for a bit of pre-travel foodie goodness.

Heart of Rose Gold

Yesterday, I got to experience the fantastic new challenge of photographing jewellery, which for some reason I've never had a chance to do on Hello Miss Jordan before. This is perhaps the weirdest revelation ever, because I am obsessed with jewellery. I'm a full on magpie. Anything that glitters, I want it.

Feeling Dotty with Busy B

My love of stationery probably goes back to when I realised how much I loved to write. I remember trying to obtain as many lined paper school books as possible in order to use them to write down my various stories and character plans. So, as you can probably imagine, my fixation with pretty notebooks is definitely still alive.

The Salt Room, Brighton

Somehow, I had managed to miss the very existence of The Salt Room since its opening in February until roughly a week ago, when we were driving back from Hove and I said, "What is that!" I was gesturing to the interestingly placed black framework of The Salt Room, which sat happily next to The Grand Hotel, as if it had been there since the beginning.

Cotton Candy

As a patriotic Englishwoman, I am always keen to get out in those rare days of sun...however, when you live in Brighton, there's a little something you have to look out for...and it's called the sea breeze. The breeze of striking cold which left me reminscent of that bit in Frozen where Anna falls in a lake and walks about muttering "Cold cold cold cold cold cold cold".

But I'm telling you now, it was so worth it.

Dream West End Roles

You probably all know by now that ever since I was younger I've wanted to be on the West End. It is my ultimate dream and being in musicals is where I have experienced some of the most amazing memories I will ever have. So, I thought I'd share with you some of my dream roles in musicals, hoping that one day I will be able to fulfil them!

Little Black Dress

During the Easter holidays I was very lucky to have another shoot with my good friend Martin Brown, who is an absolutely incredible photographer. I've previously featured shoots with him here and here if you want to check out some different styles.

We went for the theme of 'Black Dresses', which in the end resulted in more of a monochrome shoot when I switched to a pair of white jeans with a black t-shirt. He was testing out his new lighting equipment and boy did it make a difference. When he sent the photos through to me I was absolutely overwhelmed by how incredible they looked and I knew I had to share his amazing talent here.

These are a few of my favourite shots, although he did take many, many fabulous ones!

Attend OUR Tale of Sweeney Todd

It's now been just over a month since Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street closed on the Brighton theatre scene, and I can say, having this photographs come through bought back all kinds of memories.

The Perfect Massage

There are very little things in the world that can beat a good massage, and if you haven't ever had one before, I sincerely recommend it. There is nothing quite like the feeling of having your back feel completely free after a massage.

The Tea Files: Spring Tea at sketch

Because half of my family had disappeared for Easter Sunday on a Scouts trip (this is what you get when your dad's a scout leader and your brother is a scout, obviously), my mama and I decided to take an impromptu trip to gorgeous London town. The weather had blessed us with a gloriously sunny day, which was fantastic for the walk from Victoria to Mayfair.
