Endless Summer

On the last day of August, England surprised us all by blessing us with a final day of 30 degree heat. I was happy to embrace it and busted out my most summery ensemble to celebrate.

I've really been getting back into shirts lately. I don't know why but for the longest time I've hated the idea of them and found them just way too formal for everyday. But since seeing some other amazing bloggers rocking them on a day to day basis I've been inspired to come up with my own summer looks using them.

Of course, the white shirt is always a classic no matter what and an essential for any wardrobe. You style them in pretty much any way you want. I'll definitely be styling them more underneath jumpers once this beautiful sun leaves, too.

Paired up with a cracking pair of red denim shorts, you've pretty much got a winner of an outfit. Like the white shirt, red shorts are a staple for any wardrobe and immediately make me feel like that sassy dancing lady emoji.

You may have also noticed a little change about me...that's right! I dyed my hair! I finally bit the bullet and for the first time EVER decided to get something done to my locks. If you're wondering what I had done, it was balyage but as my hair had never been dyed before she was able to add a tint to simply bring out the natural colour. It was much less damaging than if she had bleached it and gave the most gorgeous, sun kissed glow to my hair.

Despite being ridiculously terrified before having it done, I'm so glad I did! It has made me feel like a whole different person.

Definitely had one of those moments the other day when I realised this may be the last day of sun we'll be getting for quite some time and we'll soon be fading into Autumn. But, I'm determined not to let it affect me as much this year and I'm looking to embrace the cosiness of it all! I hope you'll join me.
