Return to Sender - The Making of A Short Film

For the longest time, one of my content creation goals has been to make my own John Lewis Christmas advert inspired video. I always love how Christmas adverts have mini storylines throughout and even if they're selling you something they always fill my heart with warmth and joy. I wanted to replicate this by creating a short film.

My 2021 Realistic Goals

Coat C/O ChicWish | Skirt C/O ChicWish | Jumper C/O ChicWish | Beret C/O Brothers & Sisters | Boots - ASOS

So, as you know each year I normally do a list of 'unrealistic' goals, just for the giggles, to see how many I can actually achieve throughout the year. I've usually had a good track record of actually ticking at least half of the goals off, which I'm always very proud of. But, 2020 has been a bit of a rough one for everyone. It's been unlike any other year, and despite doing a lot that I am proud of this year, I found myself looking at the unrealistic goals I set back at the start of the year and feeling really down about the fact that I hadn't completed a single one.

Aquavit, London

Last weekend I had the pleasure of dining at Aquavit in London (ad press invite); a Michelin star restaurant in the heart of St James's. I'd never heard of this restaurant before our visit and when I discovered that they serve Nordic and Scandinavian cuisine, I was excited to try a new range of dishes and flavours. I've also never eaten Nordic food, so had no idea what to expect!

Vintage Vibes in Modern Style

hello Miss Jordan Brown ecosusi Piccadilly Circus fashion photoshoot

I am a huge fan of vintage style. So much of it has influenced the way I dress today and I always love to incorporate vintage inspired pieces into my modern day wardrobe. A great example is this outfit I wore in London last weekend. We took a tube over to Piccadilly Circus which was pretty empty at the moment and set up shop by one of the closed tube entrances. By the end of this shoot I felt like I was working for TFL because I was directing people out of the way so much!

A Very Merry Un-birthday

So...I accidentally created a birthday shoot...but it's okay! Instead, I'm celebrating my Un-birthday and if it's you're un-birthday too, let me know so we can celebrate together!

A Beauty Overhaul - My Hair and Eyebrows Experiences

Last week, I went through two, huge (for me) beauty transformations that I had been avoiding for quite some time: hair dye and microblading. They are things I have been considering for years, but for one reason or another, I had always procrastinated on it, telling myself that I didn't really need to have such treatments done when I was already fairly happy with my appearance as it was.

6 Must-Visit Castles in England

Arundel castle

Due to the pandemic, travelling abroad really isn't on my list of priorities at the moment, and I'm sure a lot of my fellow UK readers feel exactly the same. I was really feeling disheartened that I wasn't going to be able to experience any new countries, but then I decided that instead of moping, it was time to embrace the opportunity I had been handed.

How Lockdown Has Changed My Content for the Better

It's been a whirlwind couple of months in lockdown, where time seems to have sped by and gone really slowly all at the same time. It's very confusing that's for sure! When we first went into lockdown I was really worried about what I was going to do for Instagram content. Most of my work has always been centred either around travel or around pretty locations in London, but now I wasn't able to go to either. I was stuck in our little house in the middle of nowhere with no idea what I was going to create.

5 Things I'm Loving On Disney+

Recently, I got Disney+ (my membership was kindly gifted) and have been having an absolute whale of a time scrolling through and watching all the new shows and movies on there. It was perfect timing for it to launch here in the UK, with lockdown and all, and so I've had plenty of time to watch a few of my fave things. So, I thought I'd give a few of my favourite recommendations, in case you've just subscribed and you're not sure what to start with!

7 Things I'm Going To Do Once Lockdown Is Over

If I'm honest, I feel very lucky to say that lockdown hasn't been that stressful for me. Even though I'm on leave from my normal job and most of my Instagram ADs have been postponed, I've really been enjoying just staying at home and being creative each day, and sometimes just relaxing. I know this isn't the same for everyone and for most people this is a time of great stress and anxiety. Even for me I've found some days I just feel very bleugh and wish I could book a flight somewhere far away. So, I've been thinking about all the things I want to do once lockdown is over and it's really helping me to focus on both the now and the happy future that will eventually come.

How To Shoot Outfit Photos When The Weather Is Rubbish

I've always said, the United Kingdom is my favourite country in the world to live in with the exception of one thing...the weather. It is the most unpredictable place ever when it comes to rain and cold, but when the sun shines, oh boy is it beautiful!

How I'm Improving My Mental Health While At Home

At the moment, with the whole lockdown thing, it's kind of hard on a lot of people's mental health, including my own. Normally, where I'd be going therapy every week I'm unable to do so now (my therapist does do online counselling but unfortunately I can't do this due to the privacy of my home), so I've been trying to find other ways of keeping myself happy and busy and not focusing on negative thoughts. Also, I'm aware of the irony of these photos being totally outside, but I don't have any others and I'm letting them help me focus on the day I can return to London again.

Changing the Way We Think About Influencer ADs

For a long time, influencer ADs have had a dark cloud over them. Due to bad press and general internet comments being nasty, you can sometimes think of the questionable promotion of diet teas and that's about it. And yes, some people do promote things that aren't exactly ethical, but we shouldn't allow these exceptions to put a downer on the whole industry. And today I'm going to chat to you about why.

Botanical Brunch at Mr Fogg's, London

Last weekend I took a little trip to Mr Fogg's House of Botanicals in London to try their new Botanical Brunch. My mum, my aunt and my cousins have an annual tradition of going out for brunch for Mother's Day each year, and Mr Fogg's kindly invited us down to try out the menu. Our brunch was gifted but all opinions are my own.

Why I'm Done Feeling Guilty About My Instagram

My mum has always said that 'guilt is a wasted emotion', and I definitely feel this. I am hugely guilty (ha!) of feeling guilty a lot. I feel guilty when I lose friends because I feel like it must be me. I feel guilty about being pescatarian instead of vegetarian, and then feel guilty about being vegetarian instead of vegan. And lately, the thing I've felt guilty about is my Instagram.

The Tea Files: The Lanesborough x Peggy Porschen

Last week the lovely people at Peggy Porschen invited me down to the Lanesborough Hotel near Hyde Park in London to try out their brand new themed afternoon tea (gifted). As someone who is a huge fan of Peggy's (as you all know) and afternoon tea (of course!) I was so excited to try out this collaboration.

How to Spend 48 Hours in Bangkok

As you may or may not know I recently came back from my month long trip to Thailand, with the first stop of the trip being two days in the city of Bangkok. Bangkok has been on my bucket list for so long, especially after seeing numerous other people's posts from there!

A Pastel Makeup Look

As part of my pastel feed back in January, I really wanted to incorporate a makeup look, something I've never really done! Although I'm not the best at makeup, I'm always looking to learn and improve, as well as experiment with some of the lovely products I am lucky enough to be gifted with.

Twenty Six

Whoops, this post is a little late isn't it? Considering my birthday was back on the 14th January and now we're already in February. But I've been on holiday so I'm allowed to post sporadic posts that make no sense okaaaay?!

My 5 Favourite Reads from 2019

So, I didn't manage to read 30 books in 2019, but I did manage to read 14, which is still pretty good! As you know, I have a goal to reach 30 this year, but while I'm busy trying to hit that target, I thought it would be cool to look back at 2019 and the books that I enjoyed most. Hopefully some of these will make it onto your 'to-read' list and may help you towards your own 2020 reading goal!

How I'm Changing Up My Everyday Style in 2020

I have so many plans for 2020, but at the moment one of the main ones is changing up my personal style on Instagram. I've always said I go for an 'everyday princess' look, however as my feed as developed it's kind of ended up going down the 'full princess' style as opposed to just everyday. It's reached a point now where, as much as I love my ballgowns and OTT dresses, it's kind of all I have, and it's not exactly the most relatable style of clothing! Very few people are going to look at my feed and relate to my princess dresses.
