Cool for the Autumn

When you think of Autumn, you probably think of warm oranges, reds and berry tones, but I do love a good monochrome look. Sometimes you just can't go wrong with a bit of black and white for a cooler, more classic look.

My favourite dress company Jones and Jones are back with their Autumn/Winter collection and I was so excited to style one of the dresses from the new collection. They sent me the Elsa Ivory dress; a gorgeous, monochrome full peplum style piece that is absolutely perfect for the colder seasons.

I'm in love especially with the black lace detailing, that adds a wonderful dimension to the dress. Plus, it makes anything more princessy am I right?

You have no idea how long it has taken me to get these photos! After Brighton's pretty gloomy weather it felt so lovely to have some sunny days back again. On top of that, my little Oscar pulled my camera off the sofa and smashed my 50mm lens! As cute as he is he really can be a nightmare sometimes!

After a nightmares worth of Amazon deliveries, my new lens finally arrived, which meant I could get blog worthy photos back!

This dress is also currently the number one contender for my Bloggers Blog Awards outfit this weekend. I will soon be hitting up Leeds with some fabulous bloggers and I couldn't be more excited/nervous about the whole thing.

Another classic piece is definitely my black faux fur jacket. It's absolutely perfect for all seasons and it really never goes out of style. It's also super soft.

I paired it with some lovely gold jewellery, including the gold bracelet my mama gave me. It was the first piece of jewellery my dad ever bought for her so it's truly special to me. The infinity necklace is one that I actually saw at the Bloggers Festival, and I liked it so much that I had to go out and buy it!

I definitely think going with cooler tones can make a nice change, especially for evening wear and adding a touch of glamour. I feel like I'm betraying the Autumn leaves slightly but nobody can stop my love for a skater dress!
