The Tea Files - Biscuiteers

A couple of weeks ago we were kindly invited down to the Biscuiteers shop in Notting Hill to try their afternoon tea and of course I was so excited (gifted)! Biscuiteers are one of my favourite companies - not only are their biscuits absolutely stunning but they also taste amazing too! I've had deliveries of their beautiful tins in the past and I've never been disappointed so I was excited to see what they had in store for afternoon tea!

Their shop is an absolute whimsical wonderland, with every kind of biscuit you could imagine! It's the perfect place to pick up a gift for someone and a must-visit if you're ever in Notting Hill.

We were seated at one of the adorable tables and quickly brought our drinks. The hot chocolate was absolutely delicious!

The afternoon tea here is actually an all-sweet tea, so there aren't any sandwiches included. I did miss the sandwiches a bit as it's nice to have the contrast of sweet and savoury, but I definitely wasn't disappointed with the sweet treats we were given!

The scones were served warm and were absolutely delicious. We are serious about our scones, as you know!

The cakes on offer were:

A selection of the Biscuiteers iconic biscuits
– Freshly baked fruit scone with jam and clotted cream
– Handpiped macaron
– Salted caramel brownie
– Individual rose and strawberry Victoria cake
– Violet and blackcurrant entrement
– Amerena cherry bakewell tartlets
– Passionfruit and white chocolate layered tea cake

The cakes looked small but filled us up so quickly, even with three of us eating! My favourites were definitely the biscuits (obviously) and the salted caramel brownie. We ended up taking most of it home for later!

Biscuiteers also kindly included a DIY icing lesson for us, where you can choose three shaped biscuits per person and ice them all yourself!

It was so much fun getting creative and eating way too much icing, it was a fantastic experience to add on to an afternoon tea as well. Once you've finished icing, they bake your biscuits and pack them up to take home with you. It's such a great activity and I can see adults and children alike enjoying something like this, so a perfect family day out!

I was actually pretty pleased with my unicorn too...

Overall, I was extremely impressed with the afternoon tea at Biscuiteers. Everything was delicious, well baked and the service was fantastic. I did however miss the sandwiches and I hope they decide to add them on in the future as there's just so much sweet food that it can be overwhelming. Nonetheless, I would definitely recommend it! Check out their website for more information on how to book.
