Stripes at the Souk

One of my favourite spots in Dubai has to be the Souk at the Madinat Hotel. If you visit early enough, just before the shops open, you can explore without anybody bothering you and really appreciate the gorgeous buildings and winding canals.

While on holiday I made a little stealth buy at Topshop, because you know I can't avoid those stripes! It was perfect for the early morning air as we explored the passages around the Souk.

I have to say, I didn't think this jumpsuit would suit me at all when I first picked it out. As somebody who's on the extremely short side I thought it would completely wash me out and make me look like a stripey tree stump. However, once I got it on I was pleasantly surprised with how much I loved it. It's entirely different from anything I own and it's also very comfy. Kind of like wearing pyjamas!

The Souk also has one of the prettiest views of the Burj Al Arab, surrounded by the traditional style buildings and luscious green palm trees.

Jumpsuit - Topshop || Sunglasses - Primark || Shoes - New Look

Damn, Jordan. Back at it again with the Primark sunglasses.

Just as we were about to leave, the stalls began opening up, filled with traditional gifts and painted elephants (my favourite!).

Let me know what you think of this little number! I'm so pleased I discovered it and it really is one of the most comfy things I've ever worn. I even wore it home on the plane with me, would you believe!

The Souk is definitely a must visit stop if you fancy an early morning coffee or even a late night dinner. There's so many restaurants, cafes and shops to explore and you can even take a ride on one of the boats that sails around the canals. It's truly lovely!
