Mischief Managed

For a change of pace, we left Disney for a couple of days.

But where we found ourselves was just as magical.

Recognise those rooftops?

We were in Islands of Adventure at Universal Studios and my boyfriend was far too excited about being in Marvel Land.

And Jurassic Park.

And to be touching this dinosaur.

I, meanwhile, was much more concerned with becoming one with the surroundings.

I actually believe this is one of the most beautiful photographs of me in existence.

But I know what you all want to know about.

It's only flipping Hogwarts!

There was no adult version of me to be seen as I ran around Hogsmede like a loon, getting way too excited over the fact that Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey was only a 20 minute wait.

Yes, we did go on it twice. Yes, it was incredible. Yes, I did close my eyes on the spider part.

I had a nosy about in some of the shops and their intriguing window displays.

But of course Honeydukes is always a scene-stealer. Look at all those sweets!

The snowy streets were bustling with people, yet it seemed awfully sunny for such a Winter's day.

And I had to get a photo in front of the most famous train in the world!

I was practically a student by the time I left!

IT'S SO FLUFFY!

We also toured Universal Studios, where I caught this giant shark all by myself!

Ok, maybe Ollie helped a little.

We made our way around the lake, sadly spying the yet to be opened part of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, where there will be King's Cross Station, Diagon Alley and Grimmauld Place. I stared hopelessly over the barrier, longing to be let in.

However, I had to ignore the lightning shaped hole in my belly and move onto Simpsons Land.

Also, I'm pretty sure this is the diner from Grease. Either way, I want this car for my own!

We also got a chance to watch The Blues Brothers perform; one of mine and my dad's favourite films.

Before we left, I managed to get a few sneaky snaps of the soon to be opened area of Harry Potter World, a bit closer up.

Let me in, Sirius!

Before we left, we stopped by Cold Stone Creamery. If you've never been to one, I insist that you find your closest one and go there NOW. They flip ice cream and stuff!

To make their signature sundaes, they mash all the toppings into the ice cream, so you get a bit of everything with every delicious mouthful. They do this on...yep, you guessed it, a cold stone.

I had the Founder's Favourite; sweet cream ice cream with pecans, brownie, fudge and caramel.

While Ollie had Cheesecake Fantasy; cheesecake ice cream with Graham Cracker pie crust, blueberries and strawberries. I liked Ollie's more, as it's my usual at Cold Stone, but they were both amazing.

You can browse their creations and find your nearest shop (if you live in, or are planning on visiting America) on their website.

I'll leave you with this giant Olaf toy. He made me smile, so I hope he makes you smile too!
