Attend OUR Tale of Sweeney Todd

It's now been just over a month since Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street closed on the Brighton theatre scene, and I can say, having this photographs come through bought back all kinds of memories.

If you didn't know already, I played the character of Johanna in a Brighton production of Sweeney Todd; one of my all time favourite musicals and one of my dream roles to play. My love of musicals is only beaten by my love of acting in musicals, and I can honestly say that this was one of the most thrilling and exhilarating things I have ever taken part in.

As a note: I'm the one with the long blonde hair! I know, it's weird!

I'm aware that most (if not all) of my readers wouldn't have had a chance to come to Brighton to watch me in the show, so here's the next best thing! These are a few of my favourite photos from the actual performances, taken by photography genius Malcolm Tam

If you don't know the story of Sweeney Todd, it's about a young barber named Benjamin Barker who is falsely sentenced to life imprisonment by a ruthless judge who is in love with his wife. After escaping from Australia, he returns as Sweeney Todd; a blood and revenge hungry psychopath who's main aim is to kill the judge who destroyed his life. I played Johanna, Sweeney's daughter, who was taken by the Judge as his ward but he now plans to marry her now that she's 16.

As you can tell, it's all a bit violent and bloody, but the music is fantastic. Written by the musical God that is Stephen Sondheim, the songs are ones you won't soon forget.

This is also me in the hat!

Not only was it amazing to get to fulfil my dream of performing, but the cast and crew were incredible. I cannot even explain how hard everyone worked and I am so privileged to have worked with such amazing people!

A final fabulous photo of us all on our last night!

I hope this gave you a little insight into what our show was like if you didn't come along to watch. If only it could have ran for more shows! You can see Malcolm's full album of pictures on Facebook here if you want to indulge yourself in basically the entire storyline in picture form!

Let me know in the comments what you think of our little musical and what you think of blonde Jordan!

One of my greatest dreams is to perform on the West End, and this was the closest I've ever gotten. Every second I spent working on this show was amazing and I wish I could go back. Fingers crossed for it to lead to new things and new opportunities one day!

UPDATE: You can now see a video of me in the show HERE if you missed out!
