Breakfast at Betty's

After the deepest sleep ever, we awoke in our gorgeously comfy beds at Hotel Du Vin and thankfully were given a wonderful lie in. Breakfast wasn't booked until 10:30, which meant I could take my sweet time and stretch out in paradise.

When we had all risen properly, we headed to the legendary place that was Betty's; a beautiful cafe and tea rooms in the heart of Harrogate that I have always wanted to visit. The place is renowned for its incredible food and drinks and I for one couldn't wait to have breakfast there.

I have to say, it really didn't disappoint. The food was absolutely incredible and I had one of the most scrumptious hot chocolates I've ever tasted! Of course I went for a Full English and I was thrilled when the hot buttered toast arrived, already cut into perfect soldiers and served on a cake stand. Perhaps the cutest thing I've ever seen!

After filling up on breakfast and also purchasing a couple of cakes for the journey home that evening, we also took a stroll around Harrogate's Valley Gardens. It was an absolutely adorable place, complete with a beautiful pergola that reminded me of something from a fairy tale.

Harrogate may well be one of my new favourite towns in England for sure. I absolutely adored the old fashioned buildings, the beautiful Betty's and the stunning Valley Gardens. If I wasn't such a London gal it would be one of my top places to move to!

Let me know if you've ever been to Harrogate, or if you would like to! I'd definitely recommend it.
