Give Me Burgundy

As much as I love Brighton, there really is something special about shooting in the streets of London! The other day I headed on up to see the lovely Saida who I haven't seen in far too long, and we had a little wander around the Trafalgar Square area to see if we could find a prime shooting location.

We were walking along the main road when we both turned and looked at the same time to see the most gorgeous little Notting Hill-esque street! It was like we stumbled upon the blogger shooting street jackpot and as it was a weekday it wasn't too busy either. It was, however, insanely windy, but I'm sure that gave a good 'wind-machine effect'.

As I'm sure you've noticed, I've been absolutely loving darker, more Autumnal colours this year and it's really got me into the spirit of the season.

Skirt - Zara

Now let's talk about the skirt (the reason I know you're all here). This faux leather number caught my eye in Zara, a place where I rarely shop but have really started to love lately. It's absolutely perfect for Autumn and the rich burgundy can be paired with anything from pale pinks to browns to blacks (as I've done). It's fantastic quality and such a decent price as well! I've seen similar leather skirts on trend at the moment going for very high prices so this one makes the perfect dupe!

I paired my outfit up with some gold accessories for a little bit of sparkling definition. Unicorn earrings and a dolphin necklace (my two favourite animals!).

Saida was an absolute star with the camera! I absolutely love shooting with bloggers because you can basically boss each other around to get the shots you want and neither of you really mind. She shot some of these on her Olympus Pen and I tell you what, I wish she hadn't because it's made me fall even more in love with it!

We finished our shoot and headed off to Soho for a meal with the lovely Lauren, entering the restaurant just as it began to bucket it down!

I definitely can't wait to pair this skirt up with more things in the future. My mama has also given me a spoiler that she's bought me something for Christmas that will go perfectly with it, so you may see it popping up in a post some time after the holidays!
