Black & Blossom

As someone of a rather modest height of 5'4", I've sort of been put off wearing jumpsuits in the past. They're on of those things which I imagine will make me look like a tree stump, no matter how pretty or summery they may appear to be. However, when George at ASDA contacted me to ask if I'd like to try a few pieces from their Summer collection, I decided to bite the bullet and give the jumpsuit thing a go, especially when I saw this beautiful one on their website.

The gorgeous floral pattern is perfect for Spring, but I'm really happy it's layered on black in order to make it a little less garish. I've also discovered that jumpsuits are super comfy. It's literally like wearing a onesie outside, but nobody's judging you. So I'm all for that, as you can imagine.

Sadly, George have an extremely limited stock of size 6 clothes (and by limited, I mean everything is available in a size 6, but it's all sold out), meaning that I had to order an 8. Their clothing comes up quite big anyway, so an 8 is more like a 10 really. However, I pulled it all in at the waist with a thick, elastic belt and I think the oversized look gives off lovely causal, beachy vibes.

I paired it with some lovely black, suede-style sandals, which are really comfy with a bit of a heel to add height. The jumpsuit itself is perfect when going from day to evening wear, as well. If you added a pair of black heels and and quick up-do, you'd be completely ready for the party scene.

Looks like my key went a bit skew-whiff in the above picture! Not sure how that happened.

I hope you've all been enjoying the Spring weather as much as I have. Despite the chilly sea air, Brighton's been pretty beautiful lately. I can only wait hopefully for the beautiful summer to finally arrive.
