All opinions are my own. </p><p>With Autumn just around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about those transitional outfits! We haven’t had much summer here in the UK, but even so, it’s a good time to think about how to style summer clothes for the next couple of months. The perfect brand to create a transitional and sustainably sourced look is GOBI. GOBI cashmere specialises in affordable, high-quality garments that will delight you for many years. Cashmere is definitely a luxury purchase that is truly special and a wonderful thing to incorporate and style in multiple ways in your wardrobe. So, today I’m sharing four transitional outfits incorporating some wonderful cashmere pieces. </p><span><a name='more'></a></span><p>Without further ado, here are my four outfits! </p><p>My first look incorporates this super cosy <a href="https://ad.doubleclick.net/ddm/clk/506929182;310173810;b" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Open Front V-Neck Loose Cardigan</a>, paired up with a white dress and a classic boater for a cute, transitional look. This is one of my personal favourite pieces! It’s perfect for Autumn and the cardigan can be styled on the shoulder or as a wrap, depending on the weather.</p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaY3w1jfsF7ucv7nQvHKsTwzJwxankXM6xGxyu9cJRUBCC6NECdN4Js7XUKLdtGcCBwElpT7RBsuha2-xzK8oZDj4099Ww_aXFcG0t76eDYRR-0Vq1VHtSbrhn8x-a9aZVxkE13Fyr3ZBl/s2048/Tezza_2021_08_30_090134370.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1639" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaY3w1jfsF7ucv7nQvHKsTwzJwxankXM6xGxyu9cJRUBCC6NECdN4Js7XUKLdtGcCBwElpT7RBsuha2-xzK8oZDj4099Ww_aXFcG0t76eDYRR-0Vq1VHtSbrhn8x-a9aZVxkE13Fyr3ZBl/s16000/Tezza_2021_08_30_090134370.jpg" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhc54V0dRSwPc4ID9t4KqovW8DWToXKZyTjyXoZZG5T2JGOAv8Z42LQbM_KybwdTVXaeBLnzKKV7MMONEN6jw_AaUnVce9iCrbuppu1a8Dpj6aCmJUdsdw2DwjinbtKmKY3NhoztyUyENBq/s2048/Tezza_2021_08_30_090127828.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1638" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhc54V0dRSwPc4ID9t4KqovW8DWToXKZyTjyXoZZG5T2JGOAv8Z42LQbM_KybwdTVXaeBLnzKKV7MMONEN6jw_AaUnVce9iCrbuppu1a8Dpj6aCmJUdsdw2DwjinbtKmKY3NhoztyUyENBq/s16000/Tezza_2021_08_30_090127828.jpg" /></a></div><p>My second look involves the same dress as in outfit one, but this time with a colourful <a href="https://ad.doubleclick.net/ddm/clk/507021157;310173810;n" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Printed Lightweight Cashmere Scarf.</a> All of the colours make this piece so vibrant and a real eye-catcher. I have to say, I think this was one of my favourite tasting menus I've ever tried and I've had a lot! There wasn't a single dish on the menu that I didn't like and I could happily eat the whole thing again right now while looking at these photos! You can visit the Royal Crescent just for afternoon tea as well and I think it would be the perfect treat if you find yourself in the city of Bath, maybe celebrating a special occasion. My ethos really is, "Life's too short! Wear the dress!" And this doesn't just apply to dresses or even princesscore in general, it's really anything that makes you happy. </p><span><a name='more'></a></span><p>A long time ago I learned that clothes are a form of self expression. They can work to completely transform my mood and how I approach a situation. If I'm underdressed, I'll find myself lacking confidence and often unwilling to participate in social events. But when I'm in a pair of heels and a dress I adore it's like a total transformation has happened. Of course, you may be the complete opposite of me! Maybe your loungewear is the thing you want to wear the most. But whatever it is that makes you happy, whether it be a t-shirt or a banana hat, I want to tell you today that life is too short to not wear it. </p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrntaCBZhiuFujAFytkyH9oy53jRxa9focjUifXu48REv_FGdW2anoa-RT9gpd_pnMWMl7SVDPLk9fx6CgXYh5cG_ho3TYOjcb_6_EejBn1xAXBaiRBnieZm5NrdYauAflk4wMZeCJf-gt/s1598/IMG_20210611_173819_429.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1598" data-original-width="1278" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrntaCBZhiuFujAFytkyH9oy53jRxa9focjUifXu48REv_FGdW2anoa-RT9gpd_pnMWMl7SVDPLk9fx6CgXYh5cG_ho3TYOjcb_6_EejBn1xAXBaiRBnieZm5NrdYauAflk4wMZeCJf-gt/s16000/IMG_20210611_173819_429.jpg" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Dress ad pr from <a href="https://selkiecollection.com?aff=441" target="_blank">Selkie</a> (use code JORDAN for discount)</div><p>It's probably the number one comment I get asked in my direct messages - I wish I could wear dresses like you do but I don't have the confidence. To this I always say it's about reframing your concept of confidence. I am secretly not a very confident person in many areas of my life. I still avoid talking on the phone to people at all costs, for example! The idea of sending food back in a restaurant makes my entire body cringe inwards. But when it comes to my dresses something is wired differently in my brain. </p><p>I think to myself, "Why would I not wear something that makes me happy? Who does it benefit? Nobody. Who does it hinder? Me." </p><p>There are three types of people who you will meet when you decide to dress unapologetically.</p><p>1. The person who says nothing.</p><p>2. The person who loves how you look.</p><p>3. The person who doesn't love how you look. </p><p>Usually number 1 and 3 will be the same person too. And why do we care about the opinions of these random three people? Obviously number 2 may give you a compliment and make you feel great, but anyone who doesn't like your outfit really isn't worth your time. Most strangers may give you a funny look then never think of you again. But you'll also probably make someone's day! </p><p>Now I'm going to be harsh here. One day you will be too old, frail or even dead to wear what you want. You'll look back on your life and wish that you had just worn what made you happy. This is the thing I have to remind myself of every time that I wear one of my dresses in public. I'm not going to go to my grave regretting not spending more time in the clothes that I love. I'm not going to let the opinions of strangers who mean absolutely nothing to me affect my life. </p><p>I'm also aware that you may not be in the same position as me where I'm a grown adult free to make my own choices. Perhaps you are younger and still living with your family and they don't want you to dress in the way that makes you happy. If you are, I am so sorry and I really hope that with time and understanding your family will be able to accept you for who you are, no matter how you dress.</p><p>But if you are in the position where nothing is stopping you from dressing how you want except your own self doubts, then I really want you to know that you <i>can </i>do it! You are perfect and you deserve to be able to wear what makes you happy with absolutely no regrets <i>x</i></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-LfsZoeIsf5-VFiLNynQlwH2rwzVcaz4yaRNOZ3IQ7vDLV8TY2mDohyHDUW57yLI2-FlPLW-iMDP7JoTABIB01OyfPivs6qnLwX6I5NsdqUmdeL6oUh42ryVSl8MKNjKUA15mylSbT-VX/s1598/IMG_20210611_173819_425.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1598" data-original-width="1278" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-LfsZoeIsf5-VFiLNynQlwH2rwzVcaz4yaRNOZ3IQ7vDLV8TY2mDohyHDUW57yLI2-FlPLW-iMDP7JoTABIB01OyfPivs6qnLwX6I5NsdqUmdeL6oUh42ryVSl8MKNjKUA15mylSbT-VX/s16000/IMG_20210611_173819_425.jpg" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3cdnaKNhK3FScjo6mEJaRv3u_pYNTRagdBoMyTzXrZEhQU5WOQuMI3tHMNrx1vuGyZK0SXVt8FMMmqC7hyhrHhefSaTMMDwllxyJtCRDyhN_K5pqSDoM1GlEYDW7lpaF8AjATrN68PIBZ/s1404/IMG_20210611_173819_443.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1404" data-original-width="1124" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3cdnaKNhK3FScjo6mEJaRv3u_pYNTRagdBoMyTzXrZEhQU5WOQuMI3tHMNrx1vuGyZK0SXVt8FMMmqC7hyhrHhefSaTMMDwllxyJtCRDyhN_K5pqSDoM1GlEYDW7lpaF8AjATrN68PIBZ/s16000/IMG_20210611_173819_443.jpg" /></a></div>Jordanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08623741816130859129noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1724557087130368768.post-46683193131266146752021-05-26T09:39:00.000+01:002021-05-26T09:39:23.795+01:00A Magical Afternoon at Great Comp Gardens<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFCa_hMRt3R6ETp4VsYvm0CoDA2vGxGjc_BjnpiOyvVdHbdqSmHb748R5LjdH-SsYT2jIPHJDEkekTJ5ZJhNWkBREl0WjnwkyM02EVgdheEYkpwQpPuDSMbE3_RaDaOk_Zxfw1Vei0y7jE/s1800/IMG_20210322_180007_949.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1800" data-original-width="1440" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFCa_hMRt3R6ETp4VsYvm0CoDA2vGxGjc_BjnpiOyvVdHbdqSmHb748R5LjdH-SsYT2jIPHJDEkekTJ5ZJhNWkBREl0WjnwkyM02EVgdheEYkpwQpPuDSMbE3_RaDaOk_Zxfw1Vei0y7jE/s16000/IMG_20210322_180007_949.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRRL4mpCThwAQQGD9H76_lugDW0zNMEq61OStLLhubJiJvlClP3iy5jj8WndehJH9U6fWpaWolHSd-8lqLQtXOd7E2JELIf4wnpWhqQ-o1w1QKe5lWBKCvGWIpHdVW1dB6bO7olkg2zPkx/s1800/IMG_20210322_180007_974.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1800" data-original-width="1440" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRRL4mpCThwAQQGD9H76_lugDW0zNMEq61OStLLhubJiJvlClP3iy5jj8WndehJH9U6fWpaWolHSd-8lqLQtXOd7E2JELIf4wnpWhqQ-o1w1QKe5lWBKCvGWIpHdVW1dB6bO7olkg2zPkx/s16000/IMG_20210322_180007_974.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg62CWpl1C8iWkgszU3ajFL2tazp1nb0B_Yg16VpMHImPKpftMBL5XHldBfPqDaFafIhXMUGumFV1bdX_WzwJ9lLpc1mESWPucEYXwedsbR7B5x4UP2sSn6KjlbXU5CabtLas0AUpf_u30M/s1800/IMG_20210322_180007_979.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1800" data-original-width="1440" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg62CWpl1C8iWkgszU3ajFL2tazp1nb0B_Yg16VpMHImPKpftMBL5XHldBfPqDaFafIhXMUGumFV1bdX_WzwJ9lLpc1mESWPucEYXwedsbR7B5x4UP2sSn6KjlbXU5CabtLas0AUpf_u30M/s16000/IMG_20210322_180007_979.jpg" /></a></div><p>A couple of months ago my friend Rebecca told me of a secret garden...well it's not so secret really! </p><span><a name='more'></a></span><p><a href="https://www.greatcompgarden.co.uk" target="_blank">Great Comp Gardens</a> just so happens to be very close to me, but for some reason I had never heard of it in all the time I've lived here! It's a beautiful little spot set back near Sevenoaks, with a gorgeous house, expansive gardens and even an enchanted forest. </p><p>My favourite part has to be the ruins and gorgeous temple that is tucked away at the back of the woods. However, if I'm honest I was really spoilt for choice with the number of dreamy locations that existed here. I ended up with so many photos that I wished I had brought a second outfit! </p><p>The real star of the show was <a href="https://www.newyorkdress.com/collections/andrea-and-leo/products/andrea-and-leo-a0823?variant=30731536269425" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">this dress</a>, of course. It was kindly gifted to me by <a href="https://www.newyorkdress.com" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">New York Dress</a> and the designer is Andrea Leo Couture. There has been a certain dress that I have had in my head for a while - the ultimate princess gown, but while I had found similar designs online, there hadn't been anywhere that had created the exact dress that I had in my imagination. <span><a name='more'></a></span><div><br /></div><div>I submitted my idea to the Lunss designer, Tansy - a glittering tulle red dress with a corset bodice and puff sleeves. Tansy was very easy to chat to and very helpful with selecting the right fabrics and making sure that everything was just right. You can submit images on the website too, so if you like the style of a part of another dress you can send that over and they may be able to make something similar on your dress. For example, the skirt design on mine was similar to my Lirika Matoshi dress that I love, so I asked for a similar cut with more layers. <br /><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHj_uimvPJQS52dkHhISxorbnM2s3opRsg92hzxGTzAZ5_bWziEqJ_l2kGKoGRLeLotsEVCh_N06v4ULvwcGlFSTabsvwgd-1qArQYWhs3loyalK-UR0-D7tlhYkLpabP7ukvMMv46jBX_/s2048/Tezza_2021_03_28_121851231.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1638" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHj_uimvPJQS52dkHhISxorbnM2s3opRsg92hzxGTzAZ5_bWziEqJ_l2kGKoGRLeLotsEVCh_N06v4ULvwcGlFSTabsvwgd-1qArQYWhs3loyalK-UR0-D7tlhYkLpabP7ukvMMv46jBX_/s16000/Tezza_2021_03_28_121851231.jpg" /></a></div><p></p><p>It takes a few weeks for the creation to be finished, so I waited with baited breath to see the final result. Before sending, they sent me some photographs of the final design and I was overwhelmed with how beautiful it was, even in the initial photos. It was exactly the dress I had in my head and I couldn't wait for it to finally arrive! </p><p>Of course, it was even more beautiful in person. It was made to measure to fit like an absolute glove. Every part of the dress was perfect and excellent quality too. And of course, as soon as I was allowed, I took my new baby out for a spin amongst the cherry blossoms. It was everything I could have asked for and more! </p><p>I would highly recommend Lunss Couture if you are looking to create a truly special piece of your dreams. They are not a cheap option (my dress was valued at £495) but if you are looking to create a dream dress of high quality that you can't find anywhere else, they are the ones to go with. </p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgijL74hwMCbps1xFBZypIAxmXslobWK-7K9V0sPRrAiYoTWy3hEqFhwPN3Rz0HWoew8caGOAxdTzwQHd-5wf-hToE-35NF59lcdpdP-O6Ey9XAHRaqieErH0FQajcb2hh5u8sMWzIZ_LKY/s1874/Tezza_2021_03_28_121849622.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1874" data-original-width="1500" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgijL74hwMCbps1xFBZypIAxmXslobWK-7K9V0sPRrAiYoTWy3hEqFhwPN3Rz0HWoew8caGOAxdTzwQHd-5wf-hToE-35NF59lcdpdP-O6Ey9XAHRaqieErH0FQajcb2hh5u8sMWzIZ_LKY/s16000/Tezza_2021_03_28_121849622.jpg" /></a></div><p>Let me know what you think of my creation and what your dream dress would look like in the comments! <i>x</i></p></div>Jordanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08623741816130859129noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1724557087130368768.post-47138140682271852582021-03-17T10:52:00.004+00:002021-03-17T10:52:57.512+00:00Raya and the Last Dragon Movie Review<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDqnHrn5uOt_Ld6ZP5Ga0Tpdeta00oipZW8EBe5UPaEQwS8slaaQwkbK29IsZ_7kej7Qe8L_caNoRbJumMZcdzjh3-yVyhyNmrimoFMhj1m91lKVM_PwHl5iZVE8UZBVTijYITCzs9t85b/s2048/IMG_20210302_155211-01.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDqnHrn5uOt_Ld6ZP5Ga0Tpdeta00oipZW8EBe5UPaEQwS8slaaQwkbK29IsZ_7kej7Qe8L_caNoRbJumMZcdzjh3-yVyhyNmrimoFMhj1m91lKVM_PwHl5iZVE8UZBVTijYITCzs9t85b/s16000/IMG_20210302_155211-01.jpeg" /></a></div><p>A bit of a new one for the blog, but it's a series I've been wanting to start for a long time! You may or may not know that I am absolutely obsessed with films. I often do film reviews on my InstaStories, but I thought it would be a fun idea to start posting them on the blog too! It's a topic I'm really passionate about, and I'm usually lucky enough to be given early access to new films, so it just made sense that the reviews became a thing. </p><span><a name='more'></a></span><p>My most recent watching experience was <i>Raya and the Last Dragon </i>- the brand new release from Disney Animation Studios. I've been so excited for this movie for a number of reasons - the main one being that it's a brand new, original story which we haven't had for a while. While I love Frozen 2 and some of the other sequels, the original stories are really where it's at for me. I love being able to immerse myself in a new world with new characters to love. </p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg704O-ggnSyQVTJkiqZumVOwZlaFOPzWoKc7Vtmkl6EV42pEW7SP2Vx2ZOweVdf0xeNGflmclqZAnvtyDmbPN6CiV-kX-vWvVDTJiGARzZ-uKxkVkTwLBmRb3n2cg92_z3Y1r8YKVF9pAZ/s810/p_disneyplus_rayaandthelastdragon_20842_36be8eca.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="810" data-original-width="540" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg704O-ggnSyQVTJkiqZumVOwZlaFOPzWoKc7Vtmkl6EV42pEW7SP2Vx2ZOweVdf0xeNGflmclqZAnvtyDmbPN6CiV-kX-vWvVDTJiGARzZ-uKxkVkTwLBmRb3n2cg92_z3Y1r8YKVF9pAZ/s16000/p_disneyplus_rayaandthelastdragon_20842_36be8eca.jpeg" /></a></div><p></p><p><b>*Disclaimer! I was given early release press access to this movie. There will be no spoilers in this review.*</b></p><p>So, how did it hold up? Well, I for one absolutely loved this movie. I'd say it's the best Disney Animation Studios film since Moana. </p><p>The animation is absolutely stunning, as you would expect from Disney! I absolutely adored the fight sequences, they felt really impactful, beautifully directed and felt like there was a real threat there. I loved that the characters didn't feel invincible, with some scenes where it felt like Raya may actually get totally beaten. </p><p>I absolutely loved the character of Raya who is Disney's newest princess. Of course, she's a total badass and wields a sword like a pro, but she definitely has some wonderful character beneath that too which stops her from turning into a Mary Sue type. She's a flawed individual who makes mistakes and you can tell that she has been through trauma. As I mentioned before, she didn't feel like some magical, invincible warrior like Mulan in the live action remake, it felt like she was really fighting the whole time. </p><p>The world building was also excellent considering the run time of the movie. I felt very immersed in the culture and style of this fictional universe. A lot of the main inspiration comes from Thailand and as I visited there last year it was really lovely to see how those real cultural elements were blended with the more mythological ones. I saw a lot of criticism of the animation of the dragons in this movie but I actually really liked it. Sisu takes a few forms in this movie and I really liked those as well. </p><p>My main criticism of the movie would be that the main message is a little heavy handed when I don't think it needed to be. It's clear from the start what the moral of the story is, yet the characters feel the need to repeat it over and over again, they must have said it about 20 times! I sometimes feel like Disney don't trust children to understand the moral, so they repeat it to get it through to them, when really it's not necessary. I think if the theme had been a bit more subtle then the movie would have really benefited from this. </p><p>Overall I would give this movie an 8.5 out of 10. It wasn't a flawless movie and I think there were areas where it could have been improved, but overall I had a really good time and would definitely rewatch it. I hope this movie gets good feedback because I do truly believe that we should be supporting these original movies to show big film companies that these are the ideas we want to see, not just remakes. </p><p>You can watch <i>Raya and the Last Dragon </i>NOW on Disney+ Premiere access. It costs £20 in the UK to watch it (on top of your normal Disney+ subscription). </p><p>Let me know if you've watched the movie yet and your thoughts in the comments! <i>x</i></p>Jordanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08623741816130859129noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1724557087130368768.post-16813379824505113252021-03-15T14:17:00.005+00:002021-03-15T14:17:58.416+00:00My Money Saving Tips<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQ4Vckx__Iyrc8jhNadPu2EweLFLuI1WBGjPRzB3D65yvRKX-hrKRaPT0kKYtp3JrGr733taKu6iU6iV4xGedZBylVR4vv66lOZDbwjFnEtZ59y8oiGtvN1uHEvjzcji53WXuiwzGirwnv/s1802/IMG_20210304_175840_602.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1802" data-original-width="1440" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQ4Vckx__Iyrc8jhNadPu2EweLFLuI1WBGjPRzB3D65yvRKX-hrKRaPT0kKYtp3JrGr733taKu6iU6iV4xGedZBylVR4vv66lOZDbwjFnEtZ59y8oiGtvN1uHEvjzcji53WXuiwzGirwnv/s16000/IMG_20210304_175840_602.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="text-align: left;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;">Since I was very young my parents have always taught me the value of money and I have always been extremely grateful that I was taught this. I remember even as a 6 year old, finding a five pound note on the floor when I was out with a friend and her mother and (after trying to hand it into security) the mother encouraged me to spend it on something I didn't really want. Afterwards, the useless item didn't even work and I was so angry that I had spent the money that I could have saved. I think this day stuck with me for the rest of my life because I have really always been a saver. </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span><a name='more'></a></span></div><p>So, I thought I would come on here today to share some of my money saving advice with you all. I want to preface by saying I'm aware that this advice will not apply to everyone and there are people in financial situations that mean that they are unable to save. This post is more for people who spend frivolously and at the end of the month look at their bank account and wonder where all their money has gone. Hopefully some of my tips will help you towards saving more, whether it's just for a general savings account or for a special purchase.</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyywXXrj6u7nqaLAy5AI1aXJe-Er3jADXt9BoKs9kAg4ZpCrOmpDGHFzGJo0leCIV0Zq2SfgsMMpoL0mtBtX5l5BSbHq33_WNDW6Eb8hwiR7ujbgOUmS4Hmr_cAW2-SFkZpbOXoIUBJEn3/s1734/Tezza_2021_03_04_125036115-01.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1734" data-original-width="1386" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyywXXrj6u7nqaLAy5AI1aXJe-Er3jADXt9BoKs9kAg4ZpCrOmpDGHFzGJo0leCIV0Zq2SfgsMMpoL0mtBtX5l5BSbHq33_WNDW6Eb8hwiR7ujbgOUmS4Hmr_cAW2-SFkZpbOXoIUBJEn3/s16000/Tezza_2021_03_04_125036115-01.jpeg" /></a></div><p></p><p><b>Tip 1: Evaluate Your Spending</b></p><p>Whenever I try to help someone with their finances this is the first thing I get them to do (my mum taught me this too). Take a notebook and write down first your monthly income at the top of the page. Then, go through a bank statement and write down all of your guaranteed monthly outgoings, for example, rent, bills, food, public transport, Netflix etc. </p><p>From the list of expenditures, assess whether or not all of them are necessary. Do you really need Amazon Prime <i>and </i>Netflix? Do you need to pay for that monthly app that you don't use anymore? It's very easy to buy into monthly direct debits that potentially aren't being used in your life anymore. </p><p>If you find that you can remove any of these monthly spenders then do so, cancel them immediately. Then, takeaway the amount you spend each month from your monthly income. What are you left with? </p><p>This leftover amount is what you have to work with in terms of saving. Generally, I try to save around 40% of that leftover amount into an ISA and then the rest is just free to do as I please with. <i>But </i>if I am saving towards a specific item then I may move some of that money into a separate account or a Monzo 'Pot', which is a bit like a savings account but with no ties on it. </p><p><b>Tip 2: Prioritise What You Are Spending On</b></p><p>This is a big one for me. When travel was a thing I would try to travel somewhere monthly and people would ask how I could do it, when in reality it was just because I prioritised my spending on travel. What you decide to prioritise is entirely up to you. Some people would prefer to spend their money on a night out drinking, others on designer bags, others on meals out with friends. Honestly, there is no right or wrong way to spend your money. The problem lies when you are spending £100 on meals out, but you would <i>rather</i> be spending that money on a new dress you've wanted for ages.</p><p>Things like coffees, takeaways and meal deals can all add up and if you look at the amount you're spending on these things you may reevaluate whether or not this is where you want your money to be going. Try to replace these things with packed lunches or coffees from home to save money in these areas. </p><p>Unfortunately it is not always possible to have everything you want unless you're extremely wealthy, so prioritising what is really important to you is the most crucial part. </p><p>Since not being able to travel, my spending habits have changed slightly. As I am no longer searching for bargain holidays I am more likely to treat myself to a new dress or bag that I really want. I imagine when we are back to my normal times, then I will want to spend that money on travel again and so dresses will become less of a priority for me. </p><p><b>Tip 3: Savings Challenges </b></p><p>I don't actually know if this is the correct name for them, but my fiancé especially has found these to be really helpful with saving (and he was absolutely terrible with money before he met me). But last year he decided to take part in one of these challenges in order to have enough money for Christmas presents and he managed to save around £600 in the end!</p><p>The idea is to save very small amounts daily or weekly and put the money into a separate Monzo pot or account so you really don't notice the small amounts leaving your accounts. Here are a couple of examples that myself and my fiancé have used to save. These are great ideas for saving up throughout the year or for a certain date, for example Christmas presents. </p><p>1. Start at saving 25p then each day increase the amount by 1p every day, e.g. 26p, then 27p, then 28p etc.</p><p>2. Start with £5 on the first day, then decrease the amount by 1p every day. </p><p>3. Write 100 bits of paper labelled 1-100 in an envelope. Pull out one piece of paper every week and whatever amount is on the paper, put into your savings account. </p><p>You can also get certain apps that round up spending pennies and save the extra pennies into a savings account which is a good idea too. </p><p><b>Tip 4: Avoid Spending Money Just Because It's There</b></p><p>Seems pretty self explanatory, but I know how tempting it can be on payday when a huge lump sum of money is deposited into your account to spend it all in one go. A lot of people I grew up with would blow their entire month's wages within the first week, then find themselves struggling for the remainder of the month. Remember, you don't <i>have </i>to spend money, just because you have it. A lot of people fall into this trap. The best thing to do is remove the money you want to save immediately and place it into a separate account or a locked Monzo Pot. </p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi35dLPRTlGLN67Fvfj59WbSL-cqkUkOmBChJJsz_DCXJ2o-hyKXNMYwuxw9kDRnjzqOX5wFBo5krobeWi6L8eQQ1oF2EMaJub4oURRfM8AhanK2Z6E0KvbhRAYeIa0BUXWSbUcTyIL8IYy/s1802/IMG_20210304_175840_603.jpg" style="text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1802" data-original-width="1440" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi35dLPRTlGLN67Fvfj59WbSL-cqkUkOmBChJJsz_DCXJ2o-hyKXNMYwuxw9kDRnjzqOX5wFBo5krobeWi6L8eQQ1oF2EMaJub4oURRfM8AhanK2Z6E0KvbhRAYeIa0BUXWSbUcTyIL8IYy/s16000/IMG_20210304_175840_603.jpg" /></a></div><p>I hope these tips have been useful for you and perhaps have given you a bit more inspiration on how to save up some extra pennies this year! I don't know if this is normal or not, but during the day I either speak to my mum or my friend Alexandra...and that's it. The times where I extend beyond this tiny circle are usually just DMs with followers, and occasionally someone I know will reply to my story and I might engage with a short interaction with them. When I hear people talking about chatting to lots of people, I get a bit bewildered. Why is it that my social circle is so small now? </p><span><a name='more'></a></span><p>And then it hit me. I am <i>terrified </i>that I am bothering people. Simple as that. </p><p>The idea of actually messaging someone, even if it's someone who has given me their number or said they'd like to chat, is so daunting to me because I have managed to convince myself that I am just super annoying and if I send them a text or a DM they're just going to think, "Oh god, not <i>her </i>again." </p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkznP07YTjRu9bIGLgi4tcvYBEIN54XAj29RQa0YT2RNnPK_btZwxs36ZQivp8mYKlAIC-VRnQXl8S9e9RdtPi_RFmj_H_bYO-Bslik3NIQbdIBJsiTnwHWuQQYX6r2RJNk2V7_yRKkmki/s2048/Tezza_2021_01_02_195736928.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1365" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkznP07YTjRu9bIGLgi4tcvYBEIN54XAj29RQa0YT2RNnPK_btZwxs36ZQivp8mYKlAIC-VRnQXl8S9e9RdtPi_RFmj_H_bYO-Bslik3NIQbdIBJsiTnwHWuQQYX6r2RJNk2V7_yRKkmki/s16000/Tezza_2021_01_02_195736928.jpg" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Jumper ad pr from <a href="https://rstyle.me/+4F5fXkLrulhsoMTBQ6ajsA" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Chic Wish</a> | Skirt ad pr from <a href="https://www.sidasays.com" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Sida Says</a> | Headband ad pr from <a href="https://rstyle.me/+gKmQpctugsho0BX3UZhroA" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Claire's</a></div><p>The likelihood of this actually happening, of course, is slim. Whenever someone messages me first I always get excited, so I highly doubt people are filled with dread at the sight of my name popping up on their home screen. Despite this, I still find it hard to talk to people. I get worried I'll say the wrong thing, offend someone or just simply ramble on too much about topics. These are all things that have happened in the past that for some reason have a massive effect on my current life and I'm frankly quite tired of it!</p><p>One of my small goals for 2021 is now to talk to more people and overcome that fear I feel upon sending the first message. I am a naturally very closed off and introverted person around people who I don't know really well so this is a massive jump outside of my comfort zone for me. Also, one of the side effects of cutting a lot of negative people out of my life last year is that I have very little left to work with, so interacting with new people who I think may not be so toxic is going to be a challenge. </p><p>Despite this, I'm willing to give it a go and hopefully make some new friends in the process! </p><p>Do you relate to this feeling at all? <i>x</i></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgo0EZddB6fk2PT_LiRdEPlFCp8i6_9WGy9cfuY8eCs6aO9bJztUfNsP5SCs7tAQRlAh-e4MQskOSnQLjSmkhlFPgEAv6DGru91ZaMJyWhx-Pfh7EVA6fLaZgWLsgtvNuZQ3wFYwV5ukhOQ/s2048/Tezza_2021_01_02_195738830.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1638" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgo0EZddB6fk2PT_LiRdEPlFCp8i6_9WGy9cfuY8eCs6aO9bJztUfNsP5SCs7tAQRlAh-e4MQskOSnQLjSmkhlFPgEAv6DGru91ZaMJyWhx-Pfh7EVA6fLaZgWLsgtvNuZQ3wFYwV5ukhOQ/s16000/Tezza_2021_01_02_195738830.jpg" /></a></div>Jordanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08623741816130859129noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1724557087130368768.post-86386754017854414682021-01-19T09:50:00.001+00:002021-01-19T09:54:47.448+00:005 Things That 2020 Taught Me<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGVvV8pDR7oxJK5ws_RY6iGy1luUqh50rloMFsbBe9OyVuDGyD0SXmMk5TyuSx1Gn5ODIMNbQlGlgO7f7vCl-Sy_AkSt0jC1j7-wj24peYNyqSAgEg4rB4eM_mXTDD4HCHQDyKb-Oak6mB/s2048/Tezza_2021_01_18_150030066.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1638" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGVvV8pDR7oxJK5ws_RY6iGy1luUqh50rloMFsbBe9OyVuDGyD0SXmMk5TyuSx1Gn5ODIMNbQlGlgO7f7vCl-Sy_AkSt0jC1j7-wj24peYNyqSAgEg4rB4eM_mXTDD4HCHQDyKb-Oak6mB/s16000/Tezza_2021_01_18_150030066.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYnWZraCmyFFEU1yYdlJ7TbFcnqYAYJJu1MbLIyu_x2MNI6VYHEowD70OoGiguvAKsulDCAmHjeinywA6CIkMLovWmdGTuppsGKe3G2qZJSNxzCpdLTOsZOgc44QNWHwaMQztxCbNa5Cum/s2048/Tezza_2021_01_18_145919344.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1638" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYnWZraCmyFFEU1yYdlJ7TbFcnqYAYJJu1MbLIyu_x2MNI6VYHEowD70OoGiguvAKsulDCAmHjeinywA6CIkMLovWmdGTuppsGKe3G2qZJSNxzCpdLTOsZOgc44QNWHwaMQztxCbNa5Cum/s16000/Tezza_2021_01_18_145919344.jpg" /></a></div><p style="text-align: center;">Skirt ad pr from <a href="https://rstyle.me/+FDjn8LGNoeEUASXHnyY51A" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Chic Wish</a> | Top ad pr from <a href="https://rstyle.me/+lY88SOXODHgIkiuNchPaEA" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">River Island</a> | Tights from Calzedonia | Shoes from Dune London</p><p>For all it was worth, 2020 taught me a lot and in a funny way I feel like I learnt a lot more than I would have done if the year had been entirely normal. I am far more creative than I think</b></p><p>During the first lockdown I was absolutely terrified at the prospect of making content at home. For as long as I could remember, my feed consisted of dreamy travel shots and when it wasn't those, it was dreamy London shots. With both of those off the table I had the choice as to whether I was going to adapt or run away. I chose the former and it changed my life. Throughout the whole of lockdown I began to see the world differently: everything had potential to be a shoot concept, from the plain white wall on my house to a small patch of flowers on our daily walk. After lockdown began to be lifted, I had the opportunity to explore this beautiful country far more than I had in the past, visiting all kinds of castles, manor houses and National Trust locations, which leads me on to my second lesson...</p><p><b>2. England is one of the most beautiful countries</b></p><p>I mean, I always knew how beautiful England was but my appreciation grew even more this year. I can't believe that I had gone 26 years without exploring some of these incredible places that are right on my doorstep. Creating content in these places has been one of the true joys of last year. </p><p><b>3. You can never convince someone to change their mind once they've decided they don't like you</b></p><p>I had to come to the difficult realisation last year that there are some people out there who really loathe me and that's ok. And as much as I try to convince them otherwise, they are never going to change their minds. You can try to justify your actions or explain yourself as much as you want but they will forever be blinded by their hatred of you. So don't even waste your time.</p><p><b>4. Removing toxic people from your life is ok</b></p><p>2020 had the bittersweet side effect of removing a lot of people from my life who revealed themselves to be toxic. I always felt quite awkward about unfollowing people who I felt really weren't the nicest, but by the end of last year the unfollow button became a good friend of mine. I must say, it has been like a weight being lifted off my back not having to see and interact with these people every day. This leads me nicely onto point 5...</p><p><b>5. A lot of people in this industry are only in it for themselves</b></p><p>I feel like some of these points are a bit sad, but it's okay! Sometimes you come to the realisation that people just aren't what you thought they were going to be. After seven years in the blogging industry I think I've finally realised how fake people can really be. It's a shame, but it has also allowed me to find the people who I can genuinely trust. So many content creators care more about the numbers or the gifted items than your friendship, will only interact with you if you interact with them first and will quite frankly step on you to get where they want to go. I spent a fair bit of time feeling quite down about it last year, but now I'm glad that I don't spend my time on these people anymore. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTwUyeSnoDsLlxqfFlvdQnu16__M1Q8TMkef4xS7Q5FyumPyn00u5YtmkEkY_1tw4vh1z6Qv6Tp3W7g8_W8VTfQ_jEH3A8THIYKfqzNqqkQkgSBjH6A-myhLVdTkU1W0cRrg-51D5CVynb/s2048/Tezza_2021_01_18_145914333.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1638" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTwUyeSnoDsLlxqfFlvdQnu16__M1Q8TMkef4xS7Q5FyumPyn00u5YtmkEkY_1tw4vh1z6Qv6Tp3W7g8_W8VTfQ_jEH3A8THIYKfqzNqqkQkgSBjH6A-myhLVdTkU1W0cRrg-51D5CVynb/s16000/Tezza_2021_01_18_145914333.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">So there they are, 5 things that 2020 taught me. Some of them are a bit bittersweet, but all round have positive outcomes. I always love how Christmas adverts have mini storylines throughout and even if they're selling you something they always fill my heart with warmth and joy. I wanted to replicate this by creating a short film. </p><span><a name='more'></a></span><p>I had this idea early 2019, but after splashing out on my Halloween videos I couldn't really justify doing the same for Christmas too. But this year I decided to just go for it. I hired my lovely friend Alexandra to be my videographer and together we came up with the concept - a chase through London's most festive landmarks to chase after a missing Christmas letter to Santa. </p><p>From scripting, to outfits, to contacting locations, to two days of filming in London, everyone worked so hard to make this film a reality. It was utterly damp and freezing during filming too so I'm so proud of everyone. Making a video like this is no easy feat and I honestly feel like we smashed it. </p><p>We worked on this for months and yesterday the final film went live! The response has been absolutely incredible which honestly makes me so happy. When I create things like this, it is entirely off my own back as a passion project. Normally, longer length IGTVs just generally don't perform particularly well on Instagram. They don't help me gain followers or paid campaigns, so every single share, like and comment helps so much to support me with these creative ideas! </p><p>If you'd like to watch it, I've popped it below! Merry Christmas everyone! <i>x</i></p>

I've usually had a good track record of actually ticking at least half of the goals off, which I'm always very proud of. But, 2020 has been a bit of a rough one for everyone. It's been unlike any other year, and despite doing a lot that I am proud of this year, I found myself looking at the unrealistic goals I set back at the start of the year and feeling really down about the fact that I hadn't completed a single one. </p><span><a name='more'></a></span><p>Which was just silly really! Like I said, 2020 has been rough and it was hardly expected that I go on 6 press trips abroad like I had planned to originally. And while I hit 100k on Instagram (a big achievement), my goal had been 150k. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEpXr1RR_w1_LcslwSE3uTGH0lbkPaRnWD6ihopO2tRzMq6BIuq58OfbB3YBWbwhA40X2xHLEZhh7OJ2uwre_FnLn75HpWTlH5HGoYaKhW93zmTDgsy9-XyuNNc-EWhbAeKJwStuuSNnmw/s2048/Tezza_2020_12_08_123940085-01.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1638" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEpXr1RR_w1_LcslwSE3uTGH0lbkPaRnWD6ihopO2tRzMq6BIuq58OfbB3YBWbwhA40X2xHLEZhh7OJ2uwre_FnLn75HpWTlH5HGoYaKhW93zmTDgsy9-XyuNNc-EWhbAeKJwStuuSNnmw/s16000/Tezza_2020_12_08_123940085-01.jpg" /></a></div><p></p><p>So, for 2021 I have decided to go back to basics and set realistic goals, ones which don't stress me out the minute I look at them. Ones that are way more simple, achievable and will help me get to where I need to be in the future. So, here they are:</p><p style="text-align: center;">1. Post at least once a day on TikTok</p><p style="text-align: center;">2. Reach 100k followers on TikTok</p><p style="text-align: center;">3. Post at least once a week on my blog</p><p style="text-align: center;">4. Reach 150k followers on Instagram</p><p style="text-align: center;">5. Keep writing my book</p><p style="text-align: left;">I am praying that 2021 is a bit brighter, but even if it's not, I know that I can focus on all of these goals from the comfort of my home and focus on each one as much as I need to. Sometimes, I get a bit swept away in goals. I'm an extremely ambitious person and find it very tough to lower my expectations but lord knows I need to.</p><p style="text-align: left;">Do you have any goals for 2021? <i>x</i></p><p style="text-align: left;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaAbEzTvAxFC1MfRpGYkiXSoXFwRoSEF8PTxLx6aP5_-QPNpxPOGi4cvYY8H1XfFlIEaJxCjQUYDHiHkEYOlDYAwT2E-8gN3q658R-Cw9nQ_uvsQ-S4gETStFS_ydWzwugvBNXAsruSmgP/s2048/Tezza_2020_12_08_123938403.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1639" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaAbEzTvAxFC1MfRpGYkiXSoXFwRoSEF8PTxLx6aP5_-QPNpxPOGi4cvYY8H1XfFlIEaJxCjQUYDHiHkEYOlDYAwT2E-8gN3q658R-Cw9nQ_uvsQ-S4gETStFS_ydWzwugvBNXAsruSmgP/s16000/Tezza_2020_12_08_123938403.jpg" /></a></div><p></p>Jordanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08623741816130859129noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1724557087130368768.post-58647753305641935112020-11-16T12:08:00.005+00:002020-11-16T12:09:25.953+00:00My Favourite Seasonal Sweaters<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg60KLHhGgeZccjJpfG5Mj2dYZprNhjGEx8rY-qXEQMnKaikreiwip-rrQx9MgSXR1aS7WT9T-X1FVzN5AgwBkcfsPbxhB0Qk1ikMXirBW1l6PCCyVFt_Kb-XehlQhGnz-2-aSZ4W3uEdrT/s1800/IMG_20201106_180227_855.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1800" data-original-width="1440" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg60KLHhGgeZccjJpfG5Mj2dYZprNhjGEx8rY-qXEQMnKaikreiwip-rrQx9MgSXR1aS7WT9T-X1FVzN5AgwBkcfsPbxhB0Qk1ikMXirBW1l6PCCyVFt_Kb-XehlQhGnz-2-aSZ4W3uEdrT/s16000/IMG_20201106_180227_855.jpg" /></a></div><p>Tis the season of cosy sweaters and I'm here to chat to you about a brand that does <i>the best </i>ones!</p><p><span></span></p><a name='more'></a> It has been kind of a weird dream of mine to own a KJP jumper for a long time now, so when this care package arrived on my doorstep I thought I was going to cry. I am pretty much obsessed with all their jumpers, but this one in particular is just the cutest thing ever! This one is the <a href="https://rstyle.me/+tijvYM4wDvgUfE03EsBmow" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Jack O' Lantern sweater</a> (ad pr affiliate) and summons up all the autumnal vibes into one, adorable jumper. <p></p><p>They do seasonal sweaters with all kinds of adorable themes and I was so excited to get to wear mine out and about to celebrate Autumn. It's funny that in the UK we don't really tend to have many cute seasonal clothes or decorations, but in America they always go so hard with it! I've popped a few of my other favourites from them below, in case you fancy having a browse! </p><p>Are you a fan of decorating for Autumn?

I'd never heard of this restaurant before our visit and when I discovered that they serve Nordic and Scandinavian cuisine, I was excited to try a new range of dishes and flavours. I've also never eaten Nordic food, so had no idea what to expect!<div><br /><span><a name='more'></a></span><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFxWgnK3MZNp_NmR92gvQLjS0OP0y06VGJohobtNvcGLe_EkIthgvgRyO3dTmBcMFrKmfTMtpXGOcjnGhcm1Zy5s0ReG5Ah3NNDBn6q2lcWVofYYE54xW6XnkXnk9om5bP34aeW1GRf8mP/s2048/PA080002.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFxWgnK3MZNp_NmR92gvQLjS0OP0y06VGJohobtNvcGLe_EkIthgvgRyO3dTmBcMFrKmfTMtpXGOcjnGhcm1Zy5s0ReG5Ah3NNDBn6q2lcWVofYYE54xW6XnkXnk9om5bP34aeW1GRf8mP/s16000/PA080002.jpg" /></a></div><p>I took along my dad as his birthday treat. He's a complete foodie too and also gets to taste the alcohol we get offered on my behalf. As soon as we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, despite the restaurant's large size. So much of it has influenced the way I dress today and I always love to incorporate vintage inspired pieces into my modern day wardrobe. A great example is this outfit I wore in London last weekend. We took a tube over to Piccadilly Circus which was pretty empty at the moment and set up shop by one of the closed tube entrances. By the end of this shoot I felt like I was working for TFL because I was directing people out of the way so much! <div><br /><span><a name='more'></a></span><div><img alt="hello Miss Jordan Brown ecosusi Piccadilly Circus fashion photoshoot" border="0" data-original-height="1800" data-original-width="1440" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJGfQ9feEkFyjwWsodVEYhMAAbp3fpX6UjRNJXceeKctrKqSCoyZuAHGaY5LVnq_vVVuW12hxajkutjpjDNfDaohowInwjE5hETMFg0zP1Bzx_1sKqDUgSWkjGqQpdeZ44sc_z2LMNyEOI/s16000/IMG_20200910_180354_128.jpg" style="text-align: center;" /><br /><p style="text-align: center;">Bag ad pr product from <a href="https://www.ecosusi.com/collections/summer-garden-romance/products/summer-garden-romance-pink?sca_ref=382188.cnv3l71SgG" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Ecosusi</a> | Shoes ad pr product from <a href="https://www.ecosusi.com/collections/heels-pumps/products/women-s-pointed-toe-heel-leather-shoes?sca_ref=382188.cnv3l71SgG" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Ecosusi</a> | <a href="https://www.liketoknow.it/ltk/imR4lnITMcHSpi77e3E31" target="_blank">Shop the rest of the outfit here</a> (affiliate links)</p><p>The bag and shoes are the real star of the show here! The bag is part of their new Modern Garden Romance collection and the shade of pastel pink is just a dream and totally up my street! </p><p>I combined the two with my classic pink cigarette trousers, an adorable bow neck jumper and my Pusheen beret, all for a bit of a Wes Anderson vibe which I adore. </p><p>Are you a fan of vintage inspired fashion? <i>x</i></p><div style="text-align: center;"><img alt="hello Miss Jordan Brown ecosusi Piccadilly Circus fashion photoshoot" border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1638" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhd9bXkgzF_zSwSsfd5XB1nHW0OOuGzPMVeQhDyGAJNiExcKtN9EGninX66M-UQGE31kRFbXKNH1vum6sNL45LBy0I7hm39eLmXjeCdLsecG3lpcwnFP5ZA1jGvMq5qv2NMxqSwV8CbVUNc/s16000/Tezza_2020_09_07_114716599.jpg" /></div></div></div>Jordanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08623741816130859129noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1724557087130368768.post-80775495274172186092020-09-10T12:19:00.003+01:002020-09-10T12:19:58.710+01:00A Very Merry Un-birthday<p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1638" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIXM8SoLy4Xe5XlP2UF3WzRaH_W1upPxAJMYWdl7-nQqsUznYa-JREq8mfOp8WeEJg0xUzTcuoG1ArmABz4E2YeJliUen47at_I3GQOlYryhX8B6UIs44w_uPEYvD1d7Ipk5b2VKOiSiEJ/s16000/Tezza_2020_09_07_144051303-02.jpeg" style="text-align: start;" /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1800" data-original-width="1440" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiihs7kORXOnTpguIay-_Xajp9tgbaYj6GeGxG7FKEU3-fLOrv6jb3aL-DgZ_u-HTfuzlodrSZcJ6HclJPIQMX-LqVUNnSWomfLEmxoy92l5xct-PY6jmY4EIBQTSe9fC5Ya2UKFXUAjl1l/s16000/IMG_20200909_180651_926.jpg" style="text-align: left;" /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1638" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6RbochQxCbIz7oJ55zLtDrTK7otghIp_B4wzlHjrBc5yzwIiHysvNH644D3Ergr-LTEV6QlX-Btu0RuBiR2_ebQFaUjNe74gpilzDO56ZrrkP5mqnzBEIyeIHgfTZA-4OMp-o80f9eH1E/s16000/Tezza_2020_09_07_144057256-01.jpeg" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><i><br /></i></div><div style="text-align: center;"><i>This post contains press products and affiliate links. </i></div><p>So...I accidentally created a birthday shoot...but it's okay! They are things I have been considering for years, but for one reason or another, I had always procrastinated on it, telling myself that I didn't really <i>need </i>to have such treatments done when I was already fairly happy with my appearance as it was.</div><span><a name='more'></a></span><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">However, I was invited to have both my eyebrows microbladed and my hair dyed in the same week and it felt like a sign to take the jump! I always thought I'd share my experiences of both with you here today, in case you're like me and unsure of whether or not to go for it (spoiler alert: I'm so glad I did!). </div><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-oeffpyBcmgvncBQpnhGTKWz5DMvFEPCROX8uy9BjhIlVNLguFFyXlkqkF-JYhLZbCaSfPJUT0TiVPpbWRjJ2S3ne6ecqBE5V6dNRgxadZfhwSeBIyoSVabaIr4NJY39s7Vhuz1B5a8n4/s1803/IMG_20200907_181410_371.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1803" data-original-width="1440" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-oeffpyBcmgvncBQpnhGTKWz5DMvFEPCROX8uy9BjhIlVNLguFFyXlkqkF-JYhLZbCaSfPJUT0TiVPpbWRjJ2S3ne6ecqBE5V6dNRgxadZfhwSeBIyoSVabaIr4NJY39s7Vhuz1B5a8n4/s16000/IMG_20200907_181410_371.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><b>Microblading - The Experience</b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><b><br /></b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I was invited have my eyebrows microbladed by <a href="https://www.instagram.com/microblading.by.chloe/" target="_blank">Microblading by Chloe</a> (ad - pr invite), who has actually done the eyebrows of my mum and several of my other female relatives. So, I'd seen her work before and knew how good they all looked after getting them done! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Microblading is essentially a form of tattooing - the technician will draw out the shape then fill in with tiny strokes to mimic the hairs. This means the finished look is very natural which is what I wanted. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The one thing I was really worried about was that it would hurt, but it really didn't at all! It was more of a scraping sensation, but no pain at all. Once the numbing cream wore off, they were a bit sore, but nothing too bad. I have an extremely low pain threshold as well, so you know that they didn't hurt if I could put up with it! I'm now in the aftercare stage, so I can't get them wet until they scab over and fall off (sounds lovely, right?), after which they will go paler and then back to dark again. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I'm so pleased with them and that I finally had it done! I really feel that the shape totally frames my face much better and it's nice to be able to miss out on one step of makeup application in the morning now. I highly recommend Chloe if you're looking for someone, her prices are very reasonable and she's extremely talented! </div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBoQodNUSRpuhspL4q3mKR5Xw2MaSk-H01qczldWuZRnAMXAGzl5TQMceyu5G7m3eoPtZgXl20uDFvO-W8PipIiG1NOHh15nXL37s-4wOTFM59em6zKUx-zTQnCjkxIcrjVM0LrCx8bzkC/s1800/IMG_20200907_181410_370.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1800" data-original-width="1440" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBoQodNUSRpuhspL4q3mKR5Xw2MaSk-H01qczldWuZRnAMXAGzl5TQMceyu5G7m3eoPtZgXl20uDFvO-W8PipIiG1NOHh15nXL37s-4wOTFM59em6zKUx-zTQnCjkxIcrjVM0LrCx8bzkC/s16000/IMG_20200907_181410_370.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><b>Hair - The Experience</b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><b><br /></b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">A few days after I was invited to <a href="http://www.flanx.co.uk" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Flanx Hair and Beauty</a> in Angel (ad-pr invite), where they began my hair transformation. I've actually had my hair dyed once before a few years back and I was so disappointed with the results that I vowed not to go for it again. However, I had been feeling that my hair was looking rather lacklustre since I hadn't had it cut since December last year and I was rather bored of the one colour. So I took some images of hair that I liked and showed them to the lovely Celia, who worked her magic. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The entire process took around four and a half hours but it was so worth the wait. I was absolutely thrilled with the colour - it's just subtle enough to look natural and completely different from my bad experience with the other salon a few years ago. She also cut it exactly how I imagined. I'd highly recommend Flanx if you're a Londoner looking for a hair touch up! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Overall I'm so pleased with my brows and hair! It's amazing how much of a transformation just these two things has given me and I feel way more confident with my appearance now that they're both done! Let me know if you've had either of these treatments done before and if so, how did you find them? <i>x</i></div><br /><p></p>Jordanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08623741816130859129noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1724557087130368768.post-68502380225913784542020-09-03T11:26:00.003+01:002020-09-03T11:26:57.396+01:006 Must-Visit Castles in England<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizqQTaYygoOWTdBNxPiRqjulbQSpTgC7bAOh0cogipU9ERJkXjOhwv6RT_sEmbWJApPGlanMTWCQEFcqCDcZjsnqquG4XECl0_YrL3hF9V32S0KGFqwR6R7cIjbJ_D81Gpg3RCtvU0rSwH/s1801/IMG_20200713_180117_019.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Arundel castle" border="0" data-original-height="1801" data-original-width="1440" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizqQTaYygoOWTdBNxPiRqjulbQSpTgC7bAOh0cogipU9ERJkXjOhwv6RT_sEmbWJApPGlanMTWCQEFcqCDcZjsnqquG4XECl0_YrL3hF9V32S0KGFqwR6R7cIjbJ_D81Gpg3RCtvU0rSwH/s16000/IMG_20200713_180117_019.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Due to the pandemic, travelling abroad really isn't on my list of priorities at the moment, and I'm sure a lot of my fellow UK readers feel exactly the same. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6zEvb0zVXE8VCyQfIq1xWWyDDPQc4HpYt-02cP8dP9Mg9JEiu__0WGzSuSo_RS-TwKEH0t73FyFLHSbdLVCD5LKhx7kqqxoTegLsjrLWOhmK46lOntfrWl12Sd_YmOLxSD8rF5hS2CLhl/s1600/IMG_1591378848112.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1281" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6zEvb0zVXE8VCyQfIq1xWWyDDPQc4HpYt-02cP8dP9Mg9JEiu__0WGzSuSo_RS-TwKEH0t73FyFLHSbdLVCD5LKhx7kqqxoTegLsjrLWOhmK46lOntfrWl12Sd_YmOLxSD8rF5hS2CLhl/s1600/IMG_1591378848112.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It's been a whirlwind couple of months in lockdown, where time seems to have sped by and gone really slowly all at the same time. It's very confusing that's for sure! When we first went into lockdown I was really worried about what I was going to do for Instagram content. Most of my work has always been centred either around travel or around pretty locations in London, but now I wasn't able to go to either. I was stuck in our little house in the middle of nowhere with no idea what I was going to create.</div>
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
But then, as if by magic, inspiration started to come from everywhere. I began to notice locations that in the four years of living here, I'd never even taken a second glance at. I found appreciate for small patches of flowers, for trees and for the spring blooms. Everywhere I looked, I found new places to shoot content, places that had always been there, but I had been blind to. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My content for sure has changed because of this. I'm willing to try more creative concepts, more close up shots and nature based looks. I've even been trying my hand at IGTV which I've been loving as well! But I have to say, I am so happy with it. Before lockdown, I was starting to feel quite exhausted with my London content. It felt like there were now so many people doing the same thing in the same locations that nothing I did was really original like it used to be. But once we entered lockdown, I was forced to step outside my comfort zone, and I'm so pleased with the results. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Looking at my feed a couple months ago and then looking at it now, I can definitely see the difference, but it's a good difference and I think what I am creating now really showcases what I can do and my personality. And it seems that people are enjoying it too, which definitely makes me happy! I finally feel like I'm happy with my content, even though it's different. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For example, these photos in this blog post were taken on the side of the road in a patch of daisies. I'm sure these daisies are there every year, but as I was driving past the other day I noticed them and headed there for a shoot that same day, something I would have never done before. They ended up being some of my favourite photos I've ever taken! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I've learnt that creativity and inspiration really can come from anywhere and I have a lot more to me than I ever thought was possible. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Has lockdown affected your creativity in any way, for better or worse? x</div>

<br />
Recently, I got <a href="https://www.disneyplus.com/" rel="nofollow">Disney+</a> (my membership was kindly gifted) and have been having an absolute whale of a time scrolling through and watching all the new shows and movies on there. It was perfect timing for it to launch here in the UK, with lockdown and all, and so I've had plenty of time to watch a few of my fave things. So, I thought I'd give a few of my favourite recommendations, in case you've just subscribed and you're not sure what to start with!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Also, as per usual, the photos in this post have nothing to do with the post itself, but I took them at home, so kind of?<br />

I am a huge Star Wars fan, so of course I'm absolutely hooked on The Mandalorian. Baby Yoda is adorable, of course, but I love the story, the special effects, everything. If you're a fellow Star Wars lover, you'll love this!<br />
<br />
<b>Pixar Shorts</b><br />
<br />
I was absolutely thrilled to see that all of the Pixar shorts are on Disney+! I've actually loved them all for a long time, and used to love seeing them in the cinema airing before the movies. There are also a few new ones from Spark Shorts (small projects from upcoming animators) which you may not have seen yet, so definitely check them out! Some of my favourites are Kitbull, La Luna and Piper.<br />
<br />
<b>Disney's Fairytale Weddings</b><br />
<br />
What a surprise! Jordan likes a show about weddings...and at Disney no less! Disney's Fairytale Weddings is the perfect, easy watch if you like a bit of romance and seeing how weddings come to life at the Disney parks. I personally have never wanted to have my own wedding in Disney World but I love seeing the more unique weddings that people create in areas I wouldn't have thought of. My favourite is the UK pavilion wedding in Epcot, when you get to it let me know if you loved it as much as I did!<br />
<br />
<b>The Imagineering Story</b><br />
<br />
Like most things Disney, I'm always fascinated by the behind the scenes of everything, especially at Disney Parks. They are home to some of the most clever innovations ever, and the Imagineering Story is all about how the parks came about and all the works that's gone into them. It's truly a fantastic show and I think my favourite on this list.<br />
<br />
<b>The World According to Jeff Goldblum</b><br />
<br />
Each episode, Jeff Goldblum discusses a different topic from sneakers to ice cream and basically goes around being super weird. It's brilliant. He's so eccentric and funny that he could chat about anything and make it interesting! Plus you get to learn the history of certain things you may not have thought about before.<br />

<br />
If I'm honest, I feel very lucky to say that lockdown hasn't been that stressful for me. Even though I'm on leave from my normal job and most of my Instagram ADs have been postponed, I've really been enjoying just staying at home and being creative each day, and sometimes just relaxing. I know this isn't the same for everyone and for most people this is a time of great stress and anxiety. Even for me I've found some days I just feel very bleugh and wish I could book a flight somewhere far away. So, I've been thinking about all the things I want to do once lockdown is over and it's really helping me to focus on both the now and the happy future that will eventually come.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
I actually posted about these on my Instagram post but it was the night the app went down so about 5 people probably saw it, so I thought I'd make a little blog post to go alongside it for elaboration purposes.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhypvEwgDi8QP-4YioHlihRrL3tpcIEwLKfQKsSkpZyvg4AJghG9aF9EWEsHwWX5ZjIRYJqZp9mr9B5lm2zOrDjnXDlnjUc1XXMiIeGOOlmd5nkCXtlckgMmQ5-GJ3grtygajz-16vr7YbD/s1600/Tezza_2020_04_01_184827915.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhypvEwgDi8QP-4YioHlihRrL3tpcIEwLKfQKsSkpZyvg4AJghG9aF9EWEsHwWX5ZjIRYJqZp9mr9B5lm2zOrDjnXDlnjUc1XXMiIeGOOlmd5nkCXtlckgMmQ5-GJ3grtygajz-16vr7YbD/s1600/Tezza_2020_04_01_184827915.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
So, here are 7 things I'm going to do once lockdown is over:<br />
<br />
<b>1. Book our wedding</b><br />
<b><br /></b>
I've been putting this off for ages and it's now time that I finally bit the bullet and booked the darn thing. We've found a venue now and hopefully once we're allowed out we can actually visit.<br />
<b><br /></b>
<b>2. Book a trip to Italy</b><br />
<b><br /></b>
Obviously travel is a huge thing I'm missing right now and I actually had a trip to Rome planned for this Spring, so hopefully I'll be able to finally head there.<br />
<b><br /></b>
<b>3. Eat some cake at Peggy Porschen</b><br />
<b><br /></b>
It's the little things!<br />
<b><br /></b>
<b>4. Get a National Trust membership</b><br />
<b><br /></b>
This is something I've wanted to do for ages, especially as there's so many gorgeous National Trust locations that I've never had the chance to visit. I think the membership will definitely be worth it.<br />
<b><br /></b>
<b>5. Wear an outrageous dress in the middle of London and not care who stares</b><br />
<b><br /></b>
Not something new for me, but definitely something I need to do.<br />
<b><br /></b>
<b>6. Work with a dream brand</b><br />
<b><br /></b>
I'm going to pitch to a few more of my dream brands to work with. There's still so many and I'm hoping that while I'm changing up my content and showing my creativity throughout lockdown, I'm showing them why I'm worthy of a collab!<br />
<b><br /></b>
<b>7. See a West End show</b><br />
<br />
The theatre industry has taken a huge hit during this time, with all shows being cancelled for the foreseeable future. I'm sure this is going to have a big impact when they resume too, and it may even lead to the early closure of some shows which is such a shame. I'm definitely going to book tickets to support a show once this is out - also I really miss it.<br />
<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijUjTCe65IQZj3NfYOssBJihize0NKxsSu6RDPqccGNljuEhHsrEj_ZYcAg6BfpRAIau_nQzWbI4FZSiJmtUMW7sie6W7dZT9LUbxjmQtUFE6ie29vncCWuJHcUSSvrsltYtkW44ZK7uQ1/s1600/D70A4891.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijUjTCe65IQZj3NfYOssBJihize0NKxsSu6RDPqccGNljuEhHsrEj_ZYcAg6BfpRAIau_nQzWbI4FZSiJmtUMW7sie6W7dZT9LUbxjmQtUFE6ie29vncCWuJHcUSSvrsltYtkW44ZK7uQ1/s1600/D70A4891.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
I've always said, the United Kingdom is my favourite country in the world to live in with the exception of one thing...the weather. It is the most unpredictable place ever when it comes to rain and cold, but when the sun shines, oh boy is it beautiful!<br />
<div>
<br />
<div>
<a name='more'></a></div>
<div>
Most of my photos are taken outside, simply because I prefer lots of natural light and most beautiful locations are exteriors, especially around London. However, with the unpredictability of weather it can be hard to plan for shoots when you're not sure if it's going to pour down! I've had a lot of requests for a blog post on what to do if you want to shoot photos and the weather is terrible, so here are some of my tips.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>Light Rain</b></div>
<div>
<b><br /></b></div>
<div>
I would say the majority of the time, if it rains on a shoot day it's just drizzle, or on/off rain. This really doesn't bother me at all as I'm still able to get most photos I want if the rain is light. In fact, it can actually be an advantage to shoot under this weather as you'll find locations are less busy as everyone stays inside. So, if the rain is quite light or in an on/off state, keep your shoot going! Use public transport where possible to keep dry between shots and go ahead with it. </div>
<div>
<b><br /></b></div>
<div>
<b>Inside Locations</b></div>
<div>
<b><br /></b></div>
<div>
Obviously, if it's absolutely bucketing it down then it's almost impossible to shoot. You don't want to risk getting camera equipment wet and if you look like a drowned rat then it's not going to be the best. However, there are luckily lots of inside locations that are equally pretty that you can shoot in, especially in London, where are there are numerous beautiful Instagram cafes. Have a browse on Instagram for some (Elan Cafe, Saint Aymes and Aubaine Selfridges are some of my personal favourites), as well as any other lovely interiors that might be of interest. The photos in this post were taken in one of the Nail'd It salons. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Remember, it's always good courtesy to message establishments prior to check that it is okay to shoot photos there, as well as asking them what time <i>they </i>would like you to stop by to cause the least amount of disruption to their business. </div>
<div>
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzvKmQUliSa-ABXynkkBmn4boUZfxpqfXpCHVtZZvrFPW2PnlZeXxlA4QdIezOeNh92AtHRMl7Yjgec6gyYsGcaipiMCrAoirrVS92dt0q-vVAFFb1zdQYEruOCwOsfCazDiZj9EcZNdq6/s1600/D70A4836-2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzvKmQUliSa-ABXynkkBmn4boUZfxpqfXpCHVtZZvrFPW2PnlZeXxlA4QdIezOeNh92AtHRMl7Yjgec6gyYsGcaipiMCrAoirrVS92dt0q-vVAFFb1zdQYEruOCwOsfCazDiZj9EcZNdq6/s1600/D70A4836-2.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>Locations With Slight Shelter</b></div>
<div>
<b><br /></b></div>
<div>
Sometimes there are pretty exterior locations that are partially covered, either by a doorway or a canvas cover, so it can still be possible to shoot these when the weather is bad. The Peggy Porschen cafe in Belgravia is a great example, with a wide doorway that can act as cover. Just remember to give your photographer an umbrella. </div>
<div>
<b><br /></b></div>
<div>
<b>Take Advantage of the Rain</b></div>
<div>
<b><br /></b></div>
<div>
Who says rain is ugly?! You always have the option of embracing it to it's fullest. Rain is beautiful, and I've seen some seriously creative shots that have been taken on a rainy day. There's lot of beauty to be found by using light to your advantage, as well as different props like umbrellas, or just simply letting go <i>Singin' in the Rain </i>style and getting absolutely soaked. </div>
<div>
<b><br /></b></div>
<div>
<b>Get Creative At Home</b></div>
<div>
<b><br /></b></div>
<div>
This one feels very relevant at the time of writing especially (because we're all stuck inside) but it also applies to when we're allowed out by don't actually <i>want </i>to go outside. If you don't fancy risking the rain at all, then you always have the option of creating within the confines of your own home. Even if you feel like your home isn't pretty in the slightest, there's still ways you can make it work! One of my favourite trends on the internet is the 'ugly location challenge' where people create amazing photos in the worst locations. Have a look at some of these for inspiration! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhb72BNOUDGw3yZu3LXgFaz_eo9ISIgDZScsQXDFbC2bN5M-W4okhsk-xTKVaTvu9NAZ-0fu3DS9aiVA0UfYfDwQKLOChRpXttvAtuNldbf2jBt9hKAr-arzhus9WrB691IUcUB1TleiCo-/s1600/D70A4863.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1067" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhb72BNOUDGw3yZu3LXgFaz_eo9ISIgDZScsQXDFbC2bN5M-W4okhsk-xTKVaTvu9NAZ-0fu3DS9aiVA0UfYfDwQKLOChRpXttvAtuNldbf2jBt9hKAr-arzhus9WrB691IUcUB1TleiCo-/s1600/D70A4863.jpg" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I hope this helps with some ideas for how to shoot when the weather is rubbish. Maybe save it for whenever we can go outside again as it may help a little more then! But i'm writing this now because I frankly don't have anything else to do haha! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Hope you're all well! <i>x</i></div>
</div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhz4azkKdLTKRPChaXgmFA1QvoSQMetPcMwL5M65sZRqtK5V3hYgzg1dRLolrgxzrW0VMhUFBvun0XtqDmVU0w_7fmnMVJ4-1KyLLa8h0LP4_6nB9J8_u3o8NeOJ-iiEMqfn7lK5QctgMhc/s1600/Tezza_2020_03_28_160854378.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhz4azkKdLTKRPChaXgmFA1QvoSQMetPcMwL5M65sZRqtK5V3hYgzg1dRLolrgxzrW0VMhUFBvun0XtqDmVU0w_7fmnMVJ4-1KyLLa8h0LP4_6nB9J8_u3o8NeOJ-iiEMqfn7lK5QctgMhc/s1600/Tezza_2020_03_28_160854378.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
At the moment, with the whole lockdown thing, it's kind of hard on a lot of people's mental health, including my own. Normally, where I'd be going therapy every week I'm unable to do so now (my therapist does do online counselling but unfortunately I can't do this due to the privacy of my home), so I've been trying to find other ways of keeping myself happy and busy and not focusing on negative thoughts. Also, I'm aware of the irony of these photos being totally outside, but I don't have any others and I'm letting them help me focus on the day I can return to London again.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
SO here are some ways I've been coping with bad mental health during lockdown.<br />
<br />
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1qvcQ7A-OFDO77xfViCKHJBeCZJ-OkQjNN6_e42DKPmZQvFFE015XphcpTvfYNAI28RfCyjGeOOcJcfflmxcM0aRTQeNxMPDhnQazZ6AIur58J8w3Yvyt6ix8zgiXRJlu1fgiYRPusT1i/s1600/Tezza_2020_03_28_160858055.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1qvcQ7A-OFDO77xfViCKHJBeCZJ-OkQjNN6_e42DKPmZQvFFE015XphcpTvfYNAI28RfCyjGeOOcJcfflmxcM0aRTQeNxMPDhnQazZ6AIur58J8w3Yvyt6ix8zgiXRJlu1fgiYRPusT1i/s1600/Tezza_2020_03_28_160858055.jpg" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>Having a Skincare Routine</b><br />
<br />
It's literally incredible what having a regular skincare routine does for my mental health. If I don't remember to do it in the morning, it pretty much sets my mood for the rest of the day, and the same with the evening. I end up going to bed just not feeling <i>right</i>. So I've been trying to get up every morning and remember to cleanse, tone and moisturise and do the same in the evening, even if I'm feeling super lazy and can't be bothered to get off the sofa. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>Doing My Makeup</b><br />
<br />
Another thing that really makes me feel better is doing my makeup, which is weird because I actually <i>love </i>no makeup days. But at the moment, with every day being a no makeup day, it feels a bit like a treat to actually put on a full face and not look like my regular troll self for a day. The opposite end to this is that having a makeup free day <i>also </i>helps with my mental health in feeling cleansed, but <i>not 47 in a row, Chris! </i></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>Walking My Dog</b><br />
<br />
I've spoken about how exercise really helps with my mental health before and as somebody who is the self-confessed Laziest Person on the Planet, I find it really hard to motivate myself to get up and go out for a walk. Luckily, I have Oscar who loves to stare at me and annoy me until I drag myself out the door and go for a walk.<br />
<br />
But lately I've actually been looking forward to our daily walks. I used to go on my own, but now Tom has been joining us too and I really enjoy being able to spend some time with him out in the fresh air and countryside - no phones. We've been trying to find new routes every day, and luckily there's a lot of footpaths where I live so we get to explore new surroundings every day. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>Reading</b></div>
<div>
<br />
Reading is another thing that is like my absolute antidepressant when I get into it. It can take me a little while to motivate myself (like most of the things on this list), but when I do I can speed through a novel in a day. There's also nothing more satisfying than adding another book to my reading challenge on Goodreads (if you want to <a href="https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/9370339-jordan-brown">follow me on there</a>, you can!).<br />
<br />
<b>Writing</b><br />
<b><br /></b>
You may or may not know that I have always wanted to be an author and write my own novel, but when I went to university I really lost the love for writing. There's no doubt that I find it way more difficult to use my imagination than I did before I did an English degree (go figure), but I've been brainstorming ideas for my new book and absolutely loving it. I feel like the spark is slowly coming back and I couldn't be more excited.<br />
<br />
<b>Having a Project a Day</b><br />
<b><br /></b>
Now that I'm at home, I'm not able to go to London every week to create Instagram content like I normally would. So instead I'm trying to have one project each day, whether it be an IGTV, a still image or a blog post. That way I'm keeping myself focused and at the end of the day feel like I've used my time productively, even if it's just on one small thing.<br />

<br />
For a long time, influencer ADs have had a dark cloud over them. Due to bad press and general internet comments being nasty, you can sometimes think of the questionable promotion of diet teas and that's about it. And yes, some people do promote things that aren't exactly ethical, but we shouldn't allow these exceptions to put a downer on the whole industry. And today I'm going to chat to you about why.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
When you watch a television show, there's usually an AD break. Even on streaming services like Netflix, you are still given adverts now and again, whether it be on your home page or in between shows. You get to enjoy your favourite shows with the expectation that adverts will come at some point. Most people probably don't even think about it. Well, influencer ADs are kind of the same.<br />
<br />
You get to enjoy a bunch of content that this person has put time, effort and money into creating for you<i>, </i>FOR FREE! Which is pretty damn amazing when you think about it. Depending on the person, you get reading material, photo inspo, travel information and much more for absolutely nothing every single day. So why do people react so badly when it comes to their ADs?<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Influencer ADs, when done correctly, can be just as engaging and exciting as their normal content. You follow certain people on Instagram for a reason, right? So, if they post an on-brand AD that fits into their content, you may not even notice it. By liking and commenting on that photo, you're showing your support for not only that person's living but also for the rest of the content that you get to enjoy free of charge every single day.<br />
<br />
By the way, I totally understand people's reactions when an influencer promotes something questionable. In this case, it can come across as shallow and poorly judged. But if I'm honest, the majority of influencers (including myself) I personally know choose ADs very carefully and only showcase products they personally love and use themselves. And trust me, there's nothing more exciting than when a brand you love and share anyway decides to give you a little bit of money too!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYdasFDU738G-1DpKbTM-eDmm8bhzS3NzZPpLuITO5wLriqcMu6BVnA_lbk9MdYbdYb-iUwesKZXgkOJWYhigpmh1x2QXaYXy0KjDneNSJe4VSphyzmurN1yQSsZmubqc_h8vzH059MGq6/s1600/Tezza_2020_03_21_173229666.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYdasFDU738G-1DpKbTM-eDmm8bhzS3NzZPpLuITO5wLriqcMu6BVnA_lbk9MdYbdYb-iUwesKZXgkOJWYhigpmh1x2QXaYXy0KjDneNSJe4VSphyzmurN1yQSsZmubqc_h8vzH059MGq6/s1600/Tezza_2020_03_21_173229666.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
I feel like people need to change their mindset towards ADs and realise that it's a part of the job. It allows influencers to fund the content that you then enjoy, just like any other form of media. Rather than seeing them as shallow or self-entitled, remember that you are not obligated to follow anyone, but if you do, you're seeing something that takes up mere seconds of your day, but allows a person to create a whole lot more organic content too.<br />
<br />
So the next time you see your fave creator dropping a cheeky #AD at the start of their caption, just give it a like. Remember that they've created something for you that will help fuel both their livelihood and future content for <i>you </i>to enjoy. Plus, you may discover a brand that you end up falling in love with too! <i>x</i></div>
