The Perfect Tree with Balsam Hill

The tradition of decorating the Christmas tree has always been one that i've loved, so much so that I always make the point of putting my decorations up mid-November rather than December 1st! I love having them out so much that it almost seems a waste to only see them for a mere month before they're popped back in the attic for another year.

My mum, who is probably the only person more into Christmas than I am, has always loved this tradition too, and she has always had a Balsam Hill tree. I remember her going on about them all the time when I was younger, and now she has a huge one in the living room of my family home.

It's always been a little Christmas dream of mine to follow in her footsteps and have my own one one day, so you can imagine how over the moon I was when Balsam Hill offered to send me one of their stunning trees, as well as a few extra bonuses to decorate my house this year!

The tree I went for is the stunning pre-lit 6ft Canadian Blue Green Spruce. Having a pre-lit tree takes away my least favourite part of decorating - untangling all those awful lights! The tree itself is gorgeous, super easy to assemble and very realistic. I've never been a fan of real trees, so having one that looks so close to the real thing that I can use year after year is just extra special.

To go with my tree, they sent over some seriously beautiful flowers and berry picks to make the tree a little bit more 'wow' and they definitely succeeded! Even though I don't have a set theme for my tree (all my ornaments represent memories in my life), it's lovely to have some kind of set colour scheme running throughout the ribbon and the flowers.

They also kindly supplied me with a brand new garland and wreath, both of which are pre lit too, which definitely makes cosy nights in with the fire on just that bit more magical. To finish it all off, I went for the adorable Mongolian faux fur tree skirt which Oscar absolutely loves to sit on just as much as I love to place presents on it, clearly!

Needless to say, I cannot recommend Balsam Hill highly enough, especially if you haven't gotten round to getting your Christmas tree this year yet, or if you're just looking to make those finishing touches on your house. Everything they do is so magical and hands down the best artificial trees I've ever come across! They even have a cheeky sale on their website right now so definitely check them out!

Let me know if you have a Balsam Hill tree, or if you've decided to go for a real one this year! x
