Culinary Boutique, Dubai

One place that I knew I wanted to visit while I was in Dubai was Culinary Boutique. I had heard about it via Reem Kanj's snapchat story a few months back and as soon as I saw the look of the decor and the food I knew it was right up my street! I have to say, this may be the most Instagrammable restaurant EVER.

Located on the Jumeirah Beach Road, the little restaurant is fairly small but totally beautiful; with the most gorgeous and unique white ceiling that looks like ocean waves and pretty blue tiles adorning the walls. Everything is made even better by the fact that they have WHITE MARBLE TABLES (which I believe every restaurant should have now).

I mean, just look at it!

So dreamy...

But, it's all well and good for a place to look beautiful, but does the food taste beautiful?

Short answer: absolutely.

We ordered up our drinks and I went for a "Watermelon Delight", consisting of fresh watermelon juice, lychee juice and lime. It was one of the most refreshing and delicious things I've ever drunk and holy hell I could do with one right now!

My mum ordered one of the most perfect looking cappuccinos I've ever seen.

While my dad went for a fresh pineapple juice, which tasted how I think all pineapple juices should taste; incredibly sweet and delicious!

Then came the food...

Mum ordered up a butternut squash soup which looked absolutely incredible. Also, can I say how obsessed I am with the plates here? Maybe this is an adult thing but I love a good looking plate.

While I went for a Nando's special...chips and corn.

But seriously, these chips were insane; super crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, with just a sprinkling of parmesan on the top. I make a habit of trying the chips everywhere I go, for no other reason than that I flipping love chips.

The corn though...my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Doused in red chilly and spicy lime butter, it was the most delicious corn I've ever had in my entire life. I also dipped my chips in the tasty butter that was left over and my god was that a combo and a half!

My dad, however, went for something a bit more healthy: the romaine and smoked chicken salad with avocado, parmesan and baby gem. Not really a salad person myself, but my dad said it was incredible.

They also served up a side of mini bread rolls with the most delicious beetroot hummus!

I only wish we had had room for dessert, because the cakes looked incredible too.

Dress - C/O JOY

I decided that visiting the cafe was the perfect opportunity to take my new dress out for a spin. This beautiful blue velvet number is from JOY and makes me feel like the most perfect Victorian princess ever! I love the fact that it has the high, choker style neck which makes it a little more unique. It was perfect to wear out at this time of year in Dubai as well, when despite the weather being toasty, can have a cool breeze.

If you're visiting Dubai soon you have to visit Culinary Boutique. It is hands down my new favourite restaurant in the city and 100% worth the trip there if you can make it! Beautiful decor, crazy amazing food, what more could you want!? Now I just have to convince them to open one in the U.K...
