Whyte and Brown, Soho

For me, Soho has always been the hotspot in London for amazing lunch spots. I've tried quite a few now, but I'm always on the lookout for new ones, so I did a little shoutout on Twitter for recommendations and quite a few people threw back Whyte and Brown. I had never heard of it before, but after a quick google map search I found myself there.

It's located in the most adorable courtyard, Kingly Court, which is filled with shops and other eateries. It's located just off Carnaby Street and I honestly have to go back. It's just so adorable!

Although they have seats outside, there weren't any available, so we sat upstairs instead. The inside restaurant was pretty empty as it was a hot day, but I didn't mind too much.

Whyte and Brown are a free-range chicken based restaurant, however they do have a variety of vegetarian options, which I was happy to see. The service was speedy and it wasn't long before our food arrived.

First up was the pulled BBQ chicken burger with jalapeƱos and sour cream. Sides are sold separately, so we ordered up some sweet potato fries as well.

It looked absolutely amazing, just what you'd want from a burger and tasted pretty damn awesome to boot! Pulled chicken is always something I'm wary of, but they absolutely nailed it here.

I went for a starter and a side rather than a whole main course as I only have a small appetite, and had the chicken goujons with tomato mayo. They were absolutely delicious, really fresh and crispy with just the right amount of seasoning. I loved the tomato mayo as well!

Alongside I had the truffle and parmesan fries which were delicious, if not incredibly rich. I could hardly finish these on my own and I constantly had the taste of truffle in my mouth for the entire day, so unless you're headed straight home afterwards, I'd probably bring some gum if you're going to order these!

Overall, Whyte and Brown is everything you'd expect from a good lunch spot in London. Reasonable prices, great quality food and fast service. I'll definitely be going back if I'm in need of a quick fix or fancy some of those yummy chicken goujons again!

Let me know in the comments if you've ever been to Whyte and Brown and if there's any lunch spots in London that you love that I should try next!
