Lace Up!

If you read that in the voice of a certain Gorilla from a certain Disney movie then you, my dear friend, gain my eternal love.

On Wednesday I headed up to London for the day and (let me take a moment to throw my hands in the air in praise) it was warm enough for bare legs.

If you don't live in the UK, then you may not know that we've had the most pitiful excuse for 'Summer' up until recently. It has literally been raining non-stop, so to have a couple of days where the sun was shining and the air was warm really brought a smile to my face.

It also meant I could wear this beaut of a dress from Quiz Clothing. It's pretty much the most gorgeous summer dress ever with just enough of a twirl to give a floaty, dreamy feel without being too poofy (although you know I love a bit of poof). I was able to wear it all day without breaking a sweat, and it just felt wonderful to wear.

The detail on it is just gorgeous as well. It has a beautiful, intricate floral pattern, as well as a sprinkle of pearls to add a little texture. I have to warn you, though, this dress is so delicate! Oscar jumped on my lap in the car before we left for the day and ripped a hole in the front layer of lace incredibly easily, so be careful! Luckily, my mum was able to patch up the hole and sew segments together so it wasn't noticeable.

I paired it up with my fave floral heels from New Look, which I've worn in a post before! You know I love something when I feature it twice!

I had absolutely the most wonderful day. We even stopped for a spot of lunch at a very lovely restaurant, so stay tuned for a post all about that coming soon!

I'd love to know what you've been up to lately and if you've been enjoying the warm weather as much as I have! It really was a treat to explore London without having to worry about throwing on the layers.
