Love Me Beauty ~ May

As a bit of a break from the Disney World posts, I thought I'd do my monthly review of my Love Me Beauty box! As usual, Love Me Beauty allowed a pick of three menus, with this month's box being 'lifestyle themed' which I absolutely love. The only thing I found odd was that one of the products that was on the menu when I ordered had been switched for another when it arrived. I checked the website and the menu had changed, so I must have ordered in a fuzzy in between stage when the had run out of something.

Anyway, I had this box delivered so long ago that I can actually give you a proper review of each product.

Nail Girls Nail Polish in 'Nude Pink' ~ Full Size ~ RRP £13.50

I really love this colour. Its like a sweet baby pink that isn't too bright which I love. I was expecting quite a lot considering the RRP is £13.50, and I have to say it is really lovely. It glides on smoothly and only requires two coats to be opaque. The colour is also subtle enough to wear every day.

Tea Pigs Tea in 'Super Fruit' ~ 3 bags ~ RRP £0.65 per bag

This was the product I was least looking forward to as I don't drink tea. However I know that Tea Pigs is a pretty high-end tea company and I've heard really great things about it. I gave these to my tea-obsessed friend who was extremely happy so they went to a good home.

GO Stationary Pocket Notebook Set in 'Meadow Bird' ~ Full Size ~ RRP £5

As an avid writer and creator of things, I was really excited to see the notebooks in the box. They are such pretty colours and shimmer in the light which is very sweet. They are small enough to fit in your pocket, handbag, or even clutch bag which is perfect for me who normally takes around a full size notebook. The only complaint I would have is that the pages are not lined, which only bothers me because I like writing stories so much. But they are still going to be very useful for blog ideas.

Raw Skincare Natural Lip Balm in 'Rescue Me' ~ Full Size ~ RRP £1.98

Ever since I subscribed to Love Me Beauty I have lip balms coming out of my ears! I have received so many I don't know what to do with them all! Anyway, I thought this lip balm was ok. It has no discernible flavour or scent, so it is just like a regular chapstick. It is also quite hard and therefore difficult to apply to lips, but I think it will soften with time. I like that this is small enough for my handbag and it's not in a tin so I don't have to get sticky fingers.

Lord & Berry Smudge Proof Eyeliner in 'Sand'

This was the product that I wasn't expecting, as I'm about 98% sure that there was a trio of balms on the menu when I ordered it. It's quite a nice replacement, but I tend not to use pencil eyeliners as they don't really come out on my eyelids. I much prefer to use this one for an eyeshadow effect, as the colour is still rather nice. If you are a fond wearer of pencil eyeliner in brown colours then this is a really great product, but it just isn't for me.

UPDATE: I was requested that I do a swatch of this product, so here it is!

Overall, I really liked this month's box. Love Me Beauty do a great job of picking out their products and I always know I'll use at least 75% of the contents. If you want to order your own box, you can subscribe on their website here for only £10 a month + P&P.

  1. I really really loved LMB at the beginning but I haven't ordered a box from them for a while now :( I really like the stationery this month, it's all so cute, but sadly I don't have any interest in the rest of it!

    1. There's always the risk that you'll lose interest in a beauty box. I like that with LMB you get some kind of choice I fear they'd pick all the wrong stuff in the surprise boxes! :D x
